Yes I do think you need to chill a bit. I never question anybody's fandom no matter how vehemently I disagree with their opinion.
I mean, I’m not really questioning someone’s fandom per se because who really cares about my opinion anyways lol

It was more of a hyperbole bc imo this is one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen. This is Chiarelli-level. So yea, a non-casual fan should be mad or upset over the return. And you said you are, so what’s the issue?

Well it's official: The NYRs sole purpose is to make other teams contenders.

It's not the worst trade ever. You are emotionally attached to Buch. Some fans obviously don't value Buch as much as you and others do but again I would never question their fandom because they didn't agree with me. The player we got and the 2022 2nd is similar to a late first rounder I guess. Im a little disappointed but Im not throwing chairs around.

You responded after I finished editing, so I’ll just copy and paste. My fault.

My two favorite players (before Kakko and Fox) are now gone for Sammy Blais and a 2nd. Buch and ADA. Fml

Yeah it sucks. I liked ADA also. Me personally, I root for the laundry above any particular player.

I am all for toughening up this lineup as everyone knows but Blais is just..OK.
That said, I'll withhold judgement in the hopes that this leads to a much bigger trade but as of this moment, this trade is just very mehh..

I've come to know Jeff Gorton better in the past hour than I did in the past six years he was our GM. It's too bad NHL front offices are shrouded in secrecy because he seems like a really nice, intelligent person.

I love the little dig he put in after the Rangers pick. Good to see him and Jd front and center.
Wish they were still running the club. Really do

No. We traded a wildly inconsistent player who I wasn't ready to pay a big contract to (and a guy who I just don't think is a good playoff player). I love Buch's personality and I like his game generally, but I just don't see him as anything but redundant on this team with guys like Kravtsov there to replace him.

He's the exact type of guy we'd give a big contract to in the past and just kind of tread water with.
He wasnt really inconsistent his last year. He’s been one of our most consistent players the last 2 seasons as he matured into a legit player.

i agree we couldn't afford him but really thought we would do better than what we got back..

Blues fan here. Blais is okay defensively. He's not a liability. He has speed and is great at the forecheck. He is big and physical and combined with his speed is a monster at hitting, but will rack up some penalties.

Blais has shown flashes of being able to be a middle 6 scorer where he will rack up a few goal and assists in 1.5 weeks, but then will suddenly lose all offensive skills other than forechecking and not get a point which seems like for weeks and look like a 4th liner.

At the very worst he's abgreat 4thliner or decent 3rd liner. If he can find his offensive game more consistently, maybe he can blossom into a 2nd liner.

He will dish out some physical punishment.

Rangers fan here. Buch is a first line winger, was the best PKing forward in the league last year, and is threatening to become a 70-point player.

We really suckered you guys into this one.
