Bruins dont need more washup 4th liners, not gonna happen, except if it is a Kassian with some retain because he s filling the physical play Bruins desperetly needed...
Kassian is an option we would look at but retention would have to be limited. maybe .5m

From an Oiler side I am intrigued but this one for one talk is a joke. Debrusk is a RFA in 22/23 with a huge qualifying offer that the oilers cannot afford. Yamamoto is on pace for 15+ goals and plays gritty hockey for a little guy, so there will definitely be some form of add on the bruins side. IMO it would be best if the Plus was cap from the oilers to balance out this deal.

Yamamoto, Turris, Shore(3.625m)

For

Debrusk(3.675m)

To EDM
DeBrusk

To BOS
Foegele
Yam

Oh my, I see y no trade as materialized between both teams. If you think that Yam, with 8pts in 30, with his 5’8, whopping 160 pound playing with the two best Centers in the NHL as more value then Debrusk, will keep your prized possession.

Getting all butt hurt ? Tell us what makes Debrusk worth more then Yamamoto ? You can't got back 3 years as that doesn't not matter . We need recent history . Value isn't just base on the player . Value is subjective and with Edmonton tight against cap , cap has value .
FA << RFA
Points are a wash
Contract <<< Yamamoto
PKing <<< Yamamoto
Shot<<<< Debrusk

Both players are close enough to call it a wash . Bruin's fans are complaining about his use , Oiler's fans are complaining about the same things . If all things are equal you go with the younger cheap player . It is common sense .

Come on, so your trying to tell me that playing with Mcdavid, Leon or even RNH as your centre is not an advantage compared to Debrusk playing With Haula a wash ok then.

10 points on season for Yam now
Debrusk has 8 points.

Yam is 2 years younger and makes a third less.

Even before the 3 point game.. 7 pts to 8 pts.. still 2 years younger, still maks 2 million less.

Let’s be realistic Yamamoto has been stapled to the side of Drai for most of the year. I d expect a little better point production. I m willing to bet Debrusk in the same situation outperforms Yamamoto.

With that being said I’m still not sure I’d pull the trigger. When you consider age and salary and Debrusk’s Qualifying offer

I think Yamamoto is a better fit on the third line atm. I doubt the Bruins go for it but Kass+Pick for Debrusk I’d pursue

I’d take Yamamoto over Debrusk anyway. Yamamoto has a ton of compete, is excellent at puck retrieval and on the PK.

It really isn't. Yama does all the puck retrieval on his line.. Draisaitl gets the points but is far from a complete player. RNH is a black hole at ES .

This would be the Oilers selling a good asset at a very low point .. so yeah, will probably happen!

I have all day for Kassian for Debrusk and then not keeping Debrusk since his qualifying offer is too high.

what the heck would the Bruins see in Yamamoto? If the Oilers can land Debrusk for him they’ve stolen one

Yamamoto doesn't belong in trade rumors. He isn't worth a ton in trade and provides a lot of cheap utility value to the Oilers along with some glimmer of upside.

Debrusk to Edmonton does make sense. And Kassian to Boston makes sense. Kassian isn't the scoring upgrade that the Bruins want, they'll have to get that elsewhere. But Edmonton can chip in some futures in a DeBrusk for Kassian swap to help the Bruins afford that upgrade elsewhere.

The best way to structure it is

Debrusk

for

Kassian
pick/prospect

Sure get it done too many whiners on both sides. Make it work, doesn't really matter as neither team is a true contender in the current state

I would do that too.

I'm not saying yam is the next McDavid. I like him and would like him replaced and in our bottom 6 where I think he'd excel as he pks very well. He is a very useful piece but I'm not sure why people keep pointing out to me (not you) that he isnt Pastrnak. He's basically debrusk at 1 mill. I'd kill for debrusk at 1 mill. I'd also kill to shoot Kasian to the moon.

So if I read this right your telling me that it’s Yamamoto that drives that line. Well sweet shit, maybe we should be after a far from complete player in Draisailt for Debrusk.
