So by extension, move Treliving as far up as possible just because and then remove Shanahan (but not those who endorsed his signing) who just hired the guy you think should have like power…ok. Thanks.well, it's apparently a done deal for BT being GM, so why not let him have both positions, and Shanahan falling on his sword gets rid of everyone who created this mess in the first place........
Lol Siegel. We went with the unsafe choice with Dubas and it ended in juvenile fashion. At least Treliving left Calgary professionally.shills gonna shill..........
now imagine he signed him to play with 34 and 16 LOLI completely forgot that one of Treliving's last moves as GM of Calgary was trading for Nick Ritchie lol.
I think Treliving was likely a bad higher, but if you trade a 2nd round pick and that person becomes a star its just a bad deal in retrospect. The odds aren't particularly high that an organization would pick the exact same play with a pick in that range.Wow, didn't realize Treliving traded the pick that became Jordan Kyrou for the corpse of Brian Elliott. Imagine how much we'd hear about that if it had been done in Toronto.
My optimistic look says he's never started with the talent we have here, so can he supplement the group with the right parts?
I like the way he evaluates defensemen. Weegar is a defensive stud and underrated in the Tkachuk deal.
Lets see how he patches the holes. I'm not big on him but I'm also not going to crucify him until he's shown his work here.
Good luck Brad and hopefully season ticket holders now get a discount at Boston Pizza.
Wow every single team passed on Kyrou in the draft at least once, some of them twice what idiots !Wow, didn't realize Treliving traded the pick that became Jordan Kyrou for the corpse of Brian Elliott. Imagine how much we'd hear about that if it had been done in Toronto.
Like Marleau for Seth Jarvis or Mrazek for RinzelWow, didn't realize Treliving traded the pick that became Jordan Kyrou for the corpse of Brian Elliott. Imagine how much we'd hear about that if it had been done in Toronto.
Honestly not the worst-case scenario; I've come to terms with him being the likely choice over the past week or so, and obviously I hope he kicks ass here.
That said, it really speaks to how much of a dumpster fire the whole situation was. Firing Dubas was a rash decision based off emotion, and it seems pretty apparent the org didn't have a fallback plan in place - so they rushed to hire the first notable name with experience who was on the market.
Treliving's made some really solid, creative moves, so there's definitely a possibility for success here. But honestly, if things go sideways, it's less of an indictment on him and moreso on upper management. We're in a position we never should've been in, and that's squarely on Shanahan and the board. It's a roll of the dice... let's pray to god it works out.
What if the players dont want to give you a commitment before July 1st? What do you do with that situation and NMCs?
Idiot Dubas ran himself out of town because he didnt want to face the heat with NMC contract negotiations he was about to get wrecked on.Idiots run Dubas out of town thinking they’d get better. Absolutely foolish and we will get what we deserve for acting like spoiled brats.

Dubas is the only one acting like a spoiled brat.Absolutely foolish and we will get what we deserve for acting like spoiled brats.
I can envision the viewpoint of team progression not necessitating a firing of the coach at this particular time. Conversely, I also wouldn't expect Treliving to have the same sense of loyalty to Keefe that Dubas had shown. Ultimately, I just might feel a bit uneasy about the thought of a prospective coaching change having to occur as a reactive measure.I'm just curious what his view is on the coach but I'm sure he'll be busier before that and get things rolling
If they won't commit, send them packing. Someone needs to stop coddling these prima donnas.

exactly, this guy was a failure from Day 1! he couldnt even get himself another contract in Toronto, because his mickey mouse contract negotiation skills were so bad!, good riddance he is gone!Idiot Dubas ran himself out of town because he didnt want to face the heat with NMC contract negotiations he was about to get wrecked on.
Dubas cost himself the job when he openly and publicly put his desire to be here into question. You can't just hold a press conference and say you aren't sure if the job is right for you and your family and expect to keep it. Blaming anyone else besides Dubas is just wrongIdiots run Dubas out of town thinking they’d get better. Absolutely foolish and we will get what we deserve for acting like spoiled brats.
