#lostthetrade :sarcasm:

I was never really afraid that CMac was going to do nothing. IMO this trade was pretty easy to call considering all the scouting both teams did on each others in the past two weeks and also considering that BUF needed a RHD and Byrum was playing on the right side for all games they were scouting. In fact I mentioned 3 or 4 days ago that this trade was probably already done by then and the Avs were just waiting to secure a dman first before pulling the trigger.

I am even happier about it now that I know that dman is Walker. What a day!!! And still not done most likely.

From the Sabres board:

"Byram’s charts remind me a lot of early Dahlin."
How soon we forget that Bo was arguably the best D-Man for the Avs in SCF vs. Tampa. The kid hasn't had a great year, but there is nothing like a trade to a last-place team and then a contract year to motivate a guy. I imagine he'll be quite a bit better for Buffalo next year.

Nobody forgets the Cup finals as it was stated each time Byram’s struggles were brought up.

I just hope he doesn't get flipped to Vancouver. Imagine the Avs having to go through Vancouver with a motivated Byram for the foreseeable future?

Hopefully CMac at least got them to say they wouldn't do it this year.

You’re really finding every possible way to hate this trade.

Byram was a 4th overall pick, what about Ritchie, who else do we lose if Landy comes back…

Breathe, my friend. You’ve been following hockey long enough now to know this is part of the business. We’ll be alright.
Tomorrows problems, if we can figure out the goalie thing we’re in really good soit

**** !! 😿

There goes my favorite player. First Stazz, now this. Don't get me wrong, I understand the reasoning, just hurts. Also, Mittelstadt isn't exactly a goal scorer (he's more a setup guy), which I feel will frustrate people here.
Unfortunately bro we live in a cap world :( he was one of my favs as well

Everyone remembers.

Some just intentionally downplayed a 20 year old defenseman playing like the Avs best D in the Stanley Cup finals according to many, and acted like half a regular season of struggles was a better indicator of his ability.

Yeah....I hate losing players :( I do get it, don't get me wrong. I understand it's for the betterment of the team. But yeah, is what it is. I get emotionally invested in our players.
