Well this is the definition of a hockey trade. We gave up from a position of strength and filled a massive weakness.

This deal wouldn't have got done if Mitts wasn't a RFA so we will have him for at least 3 more years. This is how the Avs do buisness.

I expect Byram to do better in Buffalo. He will at least have the opportunity to be on the PP1 and I also expect Mittlestadt to flourish here much like Lehkonen did.

This trade also wouldn't have gone through if we didn't aquire Walker 30 minutes prior and dumping Johansen is icing on the cake.

He doubled down during the Sabers/Leaves game, indicating that Bo wasn't allowed to play his game or his style through the Avs system. Now that he's in Buffalo, he expects Bo to really let go and rip it.

Love that so many of you guys are happy with the deal. I'm still not sold on him, especially in a playoff environment, but I hope he proves me wrong. At least there can be no doubt that CMac finally went all-out. Hard not to love that.
