Confirmed with Link: Avs acquire Casey Mittelstadt for Bo Byram

Just random, but the Avs did send byram to represent the team in Vegas this preseason

Well this is the definition of a hockey trade. We gave up from a position of strength and filled a massive weakness.

This deal wouldn't have got done if Mitts wasn't a RFA so we will have him for at least 3 more years. This is how the Avs do buisness.

I expect Byram to do better in Buffalo. He will at least have the opportunity to be on the PP1 and I also expect Mittlestadt to flourish here much like Lehkonen did.

This trade also wouldn't have gone through if we didn't aquire Walker 30 minutes prior and dumping Johansen is icing on the cake.

A++ day for the Avs.

I overheard sakic when getting coffee talking to cmac, stating we trade for bo again at the draft, at 50% retained and immediately extending him to a very team friendly deal. his time in buffalo is a mere conditioning stint
Joe's graduated from owning folks in individual trades to running psy-ops lasting over a year.

fatty (uncapitalized because, unlike 2C, he can do a pullup)

I fkn hope Mikko gets tried there, maybe Bednar will not feel like he has to overload the top line to score. I don't know..

Drouin - Mack - Nuke
Lehky - Mitts - Mikko

That's what I'd go with until Landy comes back.

Bo showed on TNT broadcast arriving at the Buffalo/Toronto game. Game is in the 2nd period, so I doubt he will play. I guess he could pull an Adam Foote and still dress and play.

Check that, it was Bo leaving Ball Arena with his gear. My Bad. I'm trying to work and watch, and I didn't have the sound turned up that loud.

I hope Mitts wears something other than #37. He's worn a few different numbers over the last dozen years.

wore #11 in HS and also once with Team USA (that's taken)
wore #20 in the USHL and also once with Team USA (that's taken)
wore #21 in college (that's retired)
wore #14 in a prospects game (that is currently taken)
wore #22 with Team USA (that's available)
