Byram is not a small loss, I have no doubt he’s gonna be a really good top pair d-man, but he couldn’t become that on the Avs because that blueline is deep and Toews was resigned long term.

The only time SE has negative posts is when one of our player gets traded. Doesn't matter who. Give him a week or two and he will be right back to his old way that we love once he sees the new guys play. We love you SE.

Bottom line is, you gotta give value to get value. Bo Byram will always be the kid in front of me at the SC Parade slugging Coors Lights and getting harassed by the cops because they thought he was some young (and drunk) fan jumping the parade ropes. Hell, I thought so too for a few seconds. He looked like the kid who cuts my lawn. But he also high fived me and my kid at the parade. It was one of the best days of my life. My daughter still talks about it.
Great player and a great dude who was instrumental in winning the 2022 Cup for the Avs. No regrets with the trade, but no hard feelings either. It's a business.
At least Bo got his Cup.

I'm thrilled we are getting Casey don't get me wrong, but man, I do like Byram. Hopefully without having Toews and Makar sitting above him, he'll be able to grow into the player we all saw the glimpses of.
Ehhh his body language was not always great and this has been floating. Don’t be surprised if some shade is thrown.

Loved Bo and will continue to root for him to succeed. He was not going to get the shot here for reasons everyone has posted. If Mittelstadt becomes a 55-60 pt player for us the this is a win-win trade.

If Bo did want out, he went about it the right way, unlike that f*** Matt Duchene who was a pouty, little sissy.
I think Bo has top pair potential though, but he was never going to get that shot here once Devon was re-signed. Personally, I liked Bo, I think he still needs to mature a little but I like him. Gotta give to get, I'm looking forward to Casey's first game.

Bo just said recently he and the entire D core are all close friends. He didn't want to leave.
If he throws shade, it's because he has a lot of pride, and he's upset they gave up on him. But he's usually very measured in interviews.

I agree, he needed to go for his own well being. I don't like the trade but he had to go.

I think it’s more like part of him didn’t want to leave because of the friendships and stuff, but another part of him thought he couldn’t become the player he wants to become which is a top paid D on the Avs because there is just no room there. This is nothing like Duchene wanted out. Duchene wanted out because he didn’t want to be part of a rebuild

There goes my favorite player. First Stazz, now this. Don't get me wrong, I understand the reasoning, just hurts. Also, Mittelstadt isn't exactly a goal scorer (he's more a setup guy), which I feel will frustrate people here.
Casey is a bit like Staz, two way intelligent center. We really needed more intelligent play makers actually. Mikko, and Drouin are it, as Mack creates with brute force and speed.

It certainly felt that way some nights. I think he was just upset they were playing him on his off side and he probably knew the real reason. Its like when you are at work and they tell you to make sure all your process documents are on point. You know they trying to get rid of you.
