they really cannot be stopped too easily. need 6 players to defend them, and one of them doesnt need to be the likes of any aging players..........too fast (not Jesper), too quick (not Jonathon)
The scary part is until the last several games, Rantanen was driving that line. Now MacKinnon is on fire over the last 6. They may finish 1-2 in the scoring race. Going to see them play Nashville on January 20th, cant wait.

Laine is an absolute monster, 13 goals in his last 6 games
He's definitely picking a good year to break out. RFA this summer. He's going to score 50 this year unless he gets hurt. Think he gets $10 million+. Are they going to be able to afford Kyle Connor at a likely 7-8.5 million long term deal too?

It's going to impact their D. Myers won't be back and I think they'll try and trade Byfuglien to loosen the blow.

I`m watching Buffalo tonight - it should be a fun game 7 pm ET - it`s interesting to see if Rasmus Dahlin and how he has progressed in the last couple of months for instant. And cross fingers and hope that Rangers can draft an eartly 1st pick maybe as early as next summer. :)

Yes he has been simply amazing recently for sure.

Yay another expansion draft! What's the timetable on it?
Either 2020 or 2021. There is an out clause for the current CBA that can be exercised by either side for 2020. If that happens, don't count on expansion until 2021.

The NHL has hinted that the Seattle arena won't be ready for 2020, but Seattle says it will be. So, one side is reading the progress wrong or the NHL doesn't want the union using the pending start for Seattle as leverage in negotiations.

Could potentially be an interesting situation with Hank vs Shestyorkin then.

Throw him out for the rest of the season.

Now is your chance to show that you're serious about taking headshots out of the game, NHL. Take it.

The only reason the NHL is saying the Seattle arena won’t be ready until 2021 is a potential lockout

Don’t let anyone kid you. They don’t want the PA to use that as a negotiation tactic, and it would be a terrible look if Seattle’s first year in the league was during a lockout year

Tom Wilson is so good at being Tom Wilson that he microcosms his entire narrative of being a good player that has a hard time playing clean by putting up 7g6a13p in 9 games before facing another suspension situation.

Oh sweet jesus. Next suspension should be 20+ games no?

That hit was a lot like the one he got the 20 games for. The NHL upheld that and then an arbitrator reduced it. But this could and will likely be 5 suspensions in the last two seasons and I think all of them are for head shots. The guy can't help himself and he's the most dangerous player in the league.

This one doesn't look like it got the head but the MO is identical. Two very similar plays back to back within two calendar months demonstrates that local man cannot and will not learn and will continue to endanger other players. Could be a good justification for the players safety department to throw the book at him regardless of the lack of head contact and injury on the play.

The Devils better wake up or they are headed for another high first rounder. I don't think they are that good anyway. They are barely a playoff team with a mvp like season from Hall. With their luck they win the lottery or get a top 3.
