Hurricanes should wear Whalers jerseys every home game
Its a cash grab but they're so clean

kings win and so do the Coyotes. Good way to end night after wings blew it with 7 seconds left.

I see the original Tony D is having a rough season for the BJs and has been scratched multiple times. What happened there?

I also remember the off-season discussion where we were making a huge mistake by not bringing him back.

I can't be the only one disappointed by the lack of quality of the Road to the Winter Classic series these past 2 seasons, right?

20 minute episodes? Why even bother?

The Winter Classic novelty burned out real quick for me. As soon as they threw in an additional 77 stadium series games the outside factor became way less cool lol.

That and we've gotten to watch the Blackhawks play outdoors throughout the rise and fall of their dynasty since they're in this goddamn thing every year

The Blackhawks have as many Winter Classic/Stadium Series jerseys as they have Stanley Cup victories. Let that sink in for a second.

Did you go through all of the pages? I did. My conclusion is the leaf fans are self centered and toxic. I can't wait till the lightning bulldoze them in the playoffs.

And lol at some random fan calling chytil a no name scrub.

Just like Habs fans, there are so many of them that come crawling out of the woodwork when the team is hot. A lot of these people didn't follow much or care or post anywhere before. But I've also noticed how amazingly insufferable they are. It's intolerable. They beat Habs fans in this department by huge leaps and bounds. The vocal ones, which may well be a minority overall but still represent more than most fanbases in total, are just an enormous pain to read or deal with. I don't bother anymore. They're just as bad on Twitter. And very often the excuse, if any are made, is "we've been **** on for so long that we're therefore allowed to unconditionally **** on any team, any player, anyone at any time regardless of relevance and you have to accept it and be quiet because we're pretty good now.

They're not in our division and I wish nothing but failure for them until cap hell prevents them from really competing. I literally want ANYONE to beat them out of the East. Never reach the finals. And this is a team I've never cared about much one way or the other, but found fun last year and wished them well. That fanbase is SO toxic it turned me completely against the whole team. I really thought Habs fans would forever be the worst. I wasn't ready for Leafs fans with a good team. By far the worst I've seen. I'll take Flyers, Debbies and Isles fans over that shit any day.

It peaked after that Flyers-Rangers one in 2012.

He's sort of stuck in the middle.

His all-around game is poor. He certainly can produce, but not enough to justify being a drag. He's too much of a drag to put in your bottom six as depth scoring.

Similar to Spooner, Christensen.

For the Winter Classic Issues @Loffen @Amazing Kreiderman yeah they've been doing outdoor games since the Heritage Classic in 2004 so the concept has "jumped the shark" (and if neither of you are familiar with that phrase as it relates to tv google/wiki it..worth a laugh lol). Stadium Series watered it down even further and it's always the "Pierre Approved Teams" like Penguins, Blackhawks, Bruins, Flyers, Sabres, Capitals and sprinkle in a little Rangers/Red Wings/Leafs/etc.

If they made it about different teams like let's say Nashville vs. Avs or added unique locations (I love when the KHL did it in the Square of Moscow that was special) it would help.

They could also have a lottery and if you win it once, that's it for your team for the next 4-5 years, and the two teams that win it can have a game over home ice a year early. It doesn't always have to be in a baseball/football stadium as well.

Another idea is do it in a neutral site or a relevant site to what's going on. Seattle is getting an NHL team. Do a game there. Educate the history of hockey in Seattle. Reveal the name/jersey of the team there. Or do a Seattle/Vegas game in Seattle's second year.

I know I'm probably coming off as a wrestling promoter, and I'm throwing a lot of meat against a wall and hoping it sticks, but these are just ideas to spice it up and make it fun again.

Alright boys, current scoring is up. 3.06 GPG this year so far. What are we thinking it's due to? My bet is on powerplays and a lot more scoring talent.

..........

you didn't do so well in school did you?

How many teams in the NHL?
How many teams needed to play a game?

Now reread the post lol

I did pretty well in school (although it was a long time ago), and I've re-read the posts several times, but I still don't get your point.

There are 31 teams in the NHL
You need 2 to a play a game

If, as Plams wrote, it felt like all 30 other teams played, there'd be 15 games (2x15=30) so every team but the Rangers would have played, without any team having to have played themselves....

So did he in fact play himself?

Edit: Also thanks for coming to my aid. I was starting to lose sanity trying to re read his post like I missed something.
