A pint of dark matter, please.
Connor McSleighbells is on a heater... but the Cats will find a way.
Edmonton fans supported them during that time as well , I doubt that happens here.At least we got to see them be absolute crap for over a decade. I think we are seeing that if you are bad enough for long enough eventually you will draft some elite talent and be good.

Yea they kept buying tickets didn’t they. Edmonton has a population advantage on us that continues to widen.
In 2000 Edmonton had a population like Winnipeg has today at about 900,000. Over the past quarter century they have had nice steady growth, by 2010 they were at 1.137 million, 2015 it was 1.292, then 2020 1.461, in 2024 their population is approximately 1.568 million.
Not sure how Edmonton does it? It’s not an attractive city but I guess it’s in a thriving province.
Winnipeg’s growth projections I’ve seen are pretty modest.
Why is there such a long break before the finals?

Gives teams time to rest up, also time for the league to build hype. NBA does the same.
NBA ratings are going to crush the NHL’s as per usualIn the case of the NHL though, it's "out of site, it's out of mind ". By the time the first playoff game starts most of North America will forget the NHL playoffs are even on.
Maurice and the Panthers should have a pretty easy go with the Oil.
Yeah Winnipeg fans are like the dumped lover who sees their ex flourish and can’t figure out where they went wrong.
"and Stuart helping Edmonton to some of the best shut-down defensive hockey imaginable, Jets fans will certainly be scratching their heads at the missed opportunities behind the bench in Winnipeg."
Oilers in six. hopefully they bring the cup home as this drought has been gross.
It’s like the reverse Charlie Huddy. Pretty good when he played, but garbage as a coach."and Stuart helping Edmonton to some of the best shut-down defensive hockey imaginable, Jets fans will certainly be scratching their heads at the missed opportunities behind the bench in Winnipeg."
I'm sorry, what? do they not realize that mark stuart was on the ice attempting to play hockey and wasn't actually coaching us? this is probably the dumbest thing I have read in a while... next time we will keep a guy who couldn't play hockey because 10 years later he might be able to coach...
Well, to be fair they are going up against a team that just completely creamed the President’s Trophy winner — a team with the best defensive forward in the league, a 57-goal-scorer, another couple players in and around PPG, and a goalie capable of stealing a series.Imagine having 2 of the top 5 forwards in the game (one of which is clearly the best player on the planet), another 50 goal scorer, a top 5ish defencemen and killing 28 straight penalties to have the best PK while having the best PP and somehow still being the underdogs in a series.
