Jets certainly didn't make it easy for him.

Edmonton kept a lot of shots to the outside, not all but a lot. Jets just let Avalanche waltz right into the slot to shoot or screen at will.
No, they didn't, it's a team game but when your pompous goalie proclaims he played well when he clearly didn't and basically throws the rest of the team under the bus.....two words come to mind and the second one is hole!

the criticism for Helle is valid. the likes of Stuart Skinner shouldn't be outplaying Helle, esp. considering the team in front of him and the supposed deficiencies that they get tagged with.

Definitely valid criticism, however not the full story as some present here.

I think when you kill off 28 straight penalties in a row. Those deficiencies that people claim are very obviously untrue. Especially when it's been done with more than one goalie in net.

Oilers have been one of the top defensive teams in the NHL since Knoblauch took over. The only reason people (me especially) didn’t catch on was their really shaky goaltending masked it. Oilers have the top PK in the playoffs despite Skinner who was cold as hell for his first 8 starts and then hot over the last 8 starts.

I was guilty of judging the Oilers by the pre Knoblauch era run and gun team but this team is not playing like those teams anymore. Somehow Knoblauch got them to buy in to his system.

Let's see how many games the Oilers win in the finals taking just 10 shots on goal each game...

I know the Oilers and Cats fans feel amazing right now…….. but…… Just ask Dallas and the Rangers how cheery they feel today.

It’s Winner take all and one of these two team is going to feel just about as happy as us Jets fans here soon enough.

I think Cats fans are hungry for a Cup. They made the dance last year. Oilers fans especially those who may not have been around for any recent Cup runs are probably just happy they finally turned the corner.

He’s a goalie and he’s a weird dude. This has always been his process. No matter what, he doesn’t Break character under interrogation.

Personally , talk is cheap and I could give a shite less about what the players say. I am more concerned with their collective actions.

Exactly, I could care less what the players say in their own defence. They are trained to provide answers that fit the socket.

.. communicate the last point to the Jets brass that a shit PP and a shit PK won't get it done.
Precisely - Jets special teams are equal to great midden piles of shit..that shits not gonna work Old Chevy.

Florida dominated the Rangers though, if not for Shesterkin it could've been over in 4 or 5. I think Florida are the narrow favourites but it really feels like a toss up to me.
I pretty much view this upcoming series as a toss up as well, or Pick EM, like the Sportsbook say. I'd give the slight edge to the Oilers tho, if their Goaltending stays hot, and with their elite scorers. If Florida plays its usual undisciplined type of game, taking lots of penalties, I can't see them winning this series. If they are able to keep the penalties down, we have a tight series here IMO. We'll see how it plays out.

The Canucks showed the NHL how to keep McDavid of the scoresheet .. they did it 3 times in 7 games and two games he only had one point.
Finish your checks take the body ... something the Panthers do very good.
I don't think the Panthers will be shooting the pucks at Skinner seriously that was funny when a Stars player had an opened net to score and. he hits Skinner's shoulder who was looking the other way now that's lucky not a great save. They say Skinner stole the game but the highlights they showed of his saves it was more of the Stars shooting at him. Great Oilers defense blocking shots and not allowing the Stars too much room in front of him and the Stars missing the net won it for the Oilers..
Sorry but there is no way in hell I'm cheering for the Oilers ... go Panthers go.
As for this thing bring back the Stanley Cup back to Canada ... that makes no sense because the Stanley Cup comes to Canada every year.
I saw it last year here when Brossoit brought it here just down the road.

I'm going with Oilers in 6. McDrai is just to much to contain and that special teams is unbeatable. If the whistles get put away Florida has a chance but I doubt the league wants the refs to put the blinders on for this one.

Florida will check the Oilers into submission. They’re physicality is relentless. The Oilers PK is a highlight of their game right now, but will these 5 days off throw that out of synch? We shall see.

Corey Perry is a curse for the team he’s playing on when he makes it to the Cup Final. Did he take a dump in the cup or something when he won it with the ducks?

Dallas - Loss
Montreal- Loss
Tampa Bay - Loss

Oilers getting to the cup final is a massive, massive accomplishment after their terrible start to the year
