It's the transition plays off turn overs that will kill the Caps...

Eliminate that and keep Toronto deep... crappy goaltending and crappy team defense will show up...

Don't keep giving them turnovers in neutral ice and you can't get back...

Looks like the Caps time in the upper tier is done, not to much in the way of scoring and age is creeping up on their vets

Crosby just keeps rolling. Pretty spectacular that he's still elite in his mid 30's.

People have to give up on missing Buff. If he hadn't retired prematurely, he would be long gone by now anyway.

We need to build a D corps without him and Trouba. We don't appear to have even started that process.

I love DeMelo but, realistically, he is a 3RD on a good team. VG defensively, but no offense to speak of at all. We have him and Morrissey. The rest are not all that good and some of them are downright bad. The prospects we have been counting on have not been able to establish themselves even on the 3rd pair.

Buff and Trouba are gone. We need to get over it and build.

Of course the Buff shipped sailed. I will miss Buff 20 years from now just like I do other players that were my favorites over the years because they are one of a kind talents. I don‘t think I need to get over it for TNSE to try to add a true #1 talent since I am still just a fan and don’t think my fandome is blocking the process . When I say Buff is what we are missing I mean it as in a true impact #1 not a Trouba type who is a #2/3.

Buff left a gaping hole we haven’t replaced nor have we gotten any closer to adding a #1. I 100% understand both players are long gone and will never be back.
