the Oilers have four players in the top 20 in scoring

McDavid (1) with 94 pts
Draisaitl (t-2) with 76
RNH (t-11) with 62
Hyman (16th) with 60.

McDavid and Drai on pace for 148 and 130. RNH and Hymand at 97 & 96.

Would be neat to see four 100 pt players on a single team.

Copp has done absolutely horrible with Detroit, especially for the money he's getting. I'm glad we traded Copp when we did. 5 goals and 21 assists for 26 points in 51 games so far this season. Copp is getting 5.625 million a year for 5 years , that's way too much.
I wonder how Copp feels about taking all that money and not producing...

Apparently the guy that was talking shit and got punched is now spewing the same crap online . Sometimes really big losers need a smack in the mouth, especially when they are talking shit and challenging you to a fight. :dunno:
Whoa so the punch didn't cure his racism?? 😜

Watching the leaves cowlumbus game earlier

Looks like the man bun suits gave their tickets away to our serving Arm forces

Way to cheap out man bun suits. At least give the forces a better game to attend

Detroit is a different situation - like trying ti compare copps production while playing with panarin

I dont think the salary is that bad - hed be excelling here under bowness for sure... to be honest id rather have copp for a playoff run than toews...

Copp is what he is and that is a good middle 6 forward. He can play in a top 6 and contribute in the right situation.

Yeah I wouldn't mind him here now for a playoff run as he's shown he can compliment some of our players in the top 6. My guess is he looks better in Detroit as their young talent gets further integrated.

I mean the initial question was can a line succeed with two top wingers - Meier and Ehlers - and just a middling C...

I don't recall the last cup winner to win with such a setup. I think you need high end C. But imo if the long range plan is to move Cole to C then a winger like Meier would be the exact type of winger would want on one of his sides.

This is basically Chicago rotating 2Cs through the years, but with Kane as the constant on the second line.

TBL Also their first cup they had some combo of Cirelli and TJ at 2c with Stamkos out for the PO's.

It can be done.

No one is claiming that you dont have a top C - i saw the discussion more as can your second line be anchored by strong wingers

Just for comparison, Adam Lowry, a guy that has often been dumped on and presented as the guy the Jets should have not signed/traded rather than Copp, has 7 goals and 18 assists in 53 games for $3.25 million per year.
