Look at all the injuries the dirty Rangers created.

He has to change to stand a chance. The Bruins are going to have some key personnel on IR to start the year. Otherwise he's going to be a placeholder/transitional coach again.

I'm not guaranteeing it but Point may steadily decline in the next 3-4 years. He has a lot of mileage and wear and tear on that frame.

Saint John lost in the opening round of the Q league playoffs but are the Memorial Cup host team . After the loss they fired coach Gord Dwyer /ex Ranger who had led them to an awesome season despite a first round loss . SeaDogs then hired UNB hockey coach Gardiner MacDougall who has one of the best all time Canadian collegiate records ever . He hails from Kinkora PEI . He has since led the team into the Memorial Cup final game for tonight against Hamilton Bulldogs . He previously had refused all NHL/AHL coaching offers . Word on the street is that he is being considered by Winnipeg Jets for their open coaching spot....As a coach....all he has ever done is WIN . Could be a sleeper selection for an NHL position behind a bench . Should be a great game as well !

It is great that our beloved ex-coach, teacher and mentor is going home. I hope he finds success and his next Brett Howden, Colin Blackwell teacher's pet as well as Kaapo Kakko tough-love/life-is-lessons-learned pupil with the Bruins.

What a bizarre move for the Wild. They get an extra chance to snag a good prospect but I don't know... Kaprizov, Fiala, Boldy and Rossi are really good pieces to build around. I'm not sure the direction they go in due to those ridiculous buyouts, 12.7 in dead space this coming season, 14.7 the next 2 seasons and 1.6 the following 3 seasons. Fiala and Kaprizov are young enough that when the big chunk of dead cap is gone they should still be in their prime... just a strange move. Plenty of pieces on that roster they could shed to afford him. Why lose a player like that when you have a 34 year old Zucc eating 6 million.. that's the majority of Fiala's money right there. Incredible trade for LA

I kept hearing Fiala to Ottawa. It "makes too much sense".

The rumors are never right.

Faber is from Minnesota. That dead cap space from the Parise & Suter buyouts is brutal.

I mean it did make complete sense and they were really interested in acquiring him. Just simply got outbid
