Rangers will have be picking 24th or 25th heading into the playoffs

The Avs are tied in points with the Rangers. The Avs are one point behind Dallas for the Central division winner. The Rangers have more RW than Colorado. The Avs need two points tonight or Dallas wins the Central. If Colorado fails to gain two points, the Avs will pick 24th and the Rangers pick 25th. If Dallas wins the Central, the Rangers are 25th and Colorado is 24th.

The Blues will get the worse pick from the Rangers or Stars

17-FLA-Montreal
18-Islanders-Red Wings
19-Jets
20-TB-Chicago
21-Seattle
22-Wild
23-LAK-Columbus
24-Avs
25-Rangers
26-Oilers-Nashville
27-Leafs-Blues
28-Devils-SJ

29-Stars-Blues
30-VGK
31-CAR
32-BOS

Gotta take a look and see what LW prospects are available around #25... ;)

We want Colorado to win tonight, obviously. The Rangers would be 24th and Dallas 25th in that scenario. However, either pick could end up being a bit lower depending on how the teams behind them do in the playoffs.

Rangers vs Florida/Tampa in the ECF and Minnesota/Winnipeg vs LA/Seattle in the WCF would be ideal. The Dallas pick would get bumped down to 21st.

Barzal expects to play in game 1 apparently. Didn’t even think he was skating yet but that’s huge for them.

He's been skating for a while.

Really speaks to the patheticness of the Pens that they allowed themselves to be overtaken by a Barzal-less Isles team. At least with Florida you knew that they were a good team that just couldn't get it rolling for what ever reason (that changed and while I expect them to lose to Boston, they won't make it easy.) The Isles basically suck at everything.

Right now Ducks are sitting at a Guaranteed Top 3 pick, which is filled with potential franchise talent and one potential generational in Bedard. He certainly did his job as tank commander lol.
He was hired for this purpose only, it seems. Fired as soon as the mission was complete. Great move by the Ducks.

Blues were the most surprising team for me this year. From a clear 2nd best in the West to a total nosedive. Not that many injuries either. What a shitshow for them this year. Have always liked their forward group a lot. Very strange to see them have a slim shot at Bedard.
