I don't really disagree but as a forward you have to have your head out of your ass expecting it.

So if you are a goalie and the scouting report on the guy coming at you in a shootout is that he's a deker, do you consider doing this? He caught him with the stick but it is impossible to get around a sprawl like that if you come in with speed unless you are 100% expecting it.

100%, as a goalie you can tell when the guy can shoot based on where the stick is, Tkachuk had zero interest in shooting that puck, he's just pissed the goalie knew that as well

Yeah I think so too. All poke checks are all or none, but a full slide body poke check looked pretty effective. Something in the bag of tricks when you are leading the shootout and the opposition has one shooter left.
 
I didn't see the game last night but just saw the highlights.

Buccigross did a lot to try and keep hockey relevant when the sport was persona non grata on the network, but good lord is he bad at pbp guy.

Connor Bedard was born in Vancouver and Bucci is talking about "coming home" in a game in Edmonton. Vancouver and Edmonton are the same distance apart as Chicago and Atlanta.

Yeah always liked Bucci back in the day but PBP is definitely not his forte.

He's just mad because he looked so bad and wasn't expecting it. A goalie can poke check anytime he wants. Then he threw a fit to his mommy because he think he got cheated . BK was going in on a straight line and the goalie beat him.

It won't be the last time we see that move by a goalie

After the first period the Kings didnt really dominate. More like Kings vs Washington a couple weeks back.
Tampa had 2 empty netters and what seemed like 3 goals before that on 4-5 shots in the third.
Skinner also gave up one on like the first shot of the game.
He is sinking them while they are playing well.

He'd won 7 straight before tonite.. but his save pct < .900. He's probably a notch above Copley if that.. and tonite he did shit his pants.

They've been saying that for 10 years. The Oilers thought they could out score their problems...nope . Stammer put up 4 goals alone.Tampa missed Hedman for sure on their breakouts all night.

Or he didn't listen like a lot of vets seem to do because they think they're fine. for all we know they worked with him [ which they did] and he ignored them. He did the same thing in Vegas.He's pretty damn stubborn. Glad he found his game again.

Being this is the around the leauge section...
Do you guys think there are more penaltys being called this season than last?
Maybe you can educate me as to where i can find stats like that?
