I didn't like the Vegas ones when I first saw it. Now I think the V looks like a pair of nipple clamps connected by a chain and the colors look like my parents kitchen when I was a kid. I'm kind of conflicted.

Its crazy, its pretty much the same team that finished 14-0-1. I keep thinking they are going to snap out of it but they are a hot mess right now.

Kochetkov is making 2 mil this season and they expected him to be the backup when they extended him twelve months ago. But he faltered in the second half of the season and they ended up bring back both Andersen/Raanta.

It might be a case where Halak wasn't a noticeable upgrade over Kochetkov and they're already paying for the latter whether or not he's playing in the NHL.

Although it sounds like it isn't anything major, but I wonder if they'll give Halak a holler.

He just needed a reboot. He needed a wake up call and maybe a goaltending coach that knew how to better fix his issues. It does put into question how “good” Ranford was towards the end of his tenure.

What always got on my nerves is that there was obvious issues in Quick's game for YEARS and they just never seemed to get addressed.

To be fair, I don't know who's fault that is. But it sure doesn't look good on Bill 'Best Goaltending Coach In League' Ranford.

Oh to be a fly on the wall in that locker room right now.

Kinda crazy we've spent all summer wondering how the Kings could beat these guys, and still might have to, but with every passing game that team is sinking further and further into obscurity. This is no Chicago "mythical dragon" situation.

Not taking anything away from Quick at all, he's playing amazing and it's great to see.

But look at the shot map from the game:

The Rangers are like the Kings in that they allow very little from the slot, they allow even less than we do. You almost never see a big patch of white like that from the slot down to the crease. They play defense a lot like the Kings did in the early 2010's, hence he fits like a glove.
