I'm going to assume that Bettman and the league have a Plan B,C,D and E because it doesn't seem like several teams are going to be able to get their full slate of games in with the way things are going.
May have to award playoff spots based on win percentage.

How the Olympics play out will probably determine the NHL season. If IOC cancels/postpones the Tokyo games, then the NHL will have more time to finish the season and playoffs. If the Games go on as scheduled, the league will have to make alternate choices.

The discussion from those in the media with sources in the ranks say they believe the NHL wants to get back to it's "regular calendar" schedule - training camps in September and a full 82-game season with the traditional October start. They don't want to award a Stanley Cup in mid August again.

not sure where to put this, listening to Kings of the Podcast and they're talking about who King's fans hate more between Pronger and Perry. They say Kings fans hate hate Pronger but have a Love/Hate relationship with Perry and that Kings fans would have taken him on their team.
Honestly could not disagree with this more. I always wanted Pronger on the kings and cannot stand Perry. Would be cheering for Montreal in the Canadian division this year had he not signed there. Perry is a weasel.
Being a kings fan out of State just wondering if I have this wrong and if there is a different feeling locally

Texier's been very good, should be a dyamic line., eventually. Laine hasn't practiced in a couple weeks nad adjusting to a new line. But I don't think it will take long.

They said there was a rumored trade between the ducks and kings that would be Pronger to LA for 5th OA(was schenn) and JMFJ.
Would mean no Richards (and ironically Pronger ended up in Philly), does LA still get a cup? Who knows.

No because that's Richards AND Carter. The Kings ended up with an elite defense without Pronger. They needed someone other than Handzus, Stoll and Brad Richardson to center the 2nd line to produce some offense. An emerging Simmonds would've been enough. Ryan Smyth and Frolov were on the way out.

Pronger was and still is a grade A asshole. Perry is a rat on the ice 100% but is friends with a few Kings. I hate them both but Perry and Brown on the same team in their heydays? Whoo boy.

I've never heard that before. Pronger ended up getting trade for 2 1st round picks, Lupul and Sbisa. Schenn and JMFJ might not be the quantity that the Ducks were looking for, but you could argue that at the time was a better package. Pronger certainly would've been the veteran defenseman that Lombardi was looking for to pair with Doughty, but I'm not sure Pronger would've liked going to a team that was in the middle of rebuilding. Interesting to think about.

I feel like Perry never did anything against the Kings to make us hate him, plus he got punched in the dick by JQ. Never minded him. But he's sure a pain to others.
