That three goal barrage in second was awesome. But they're running on fumes. Overall a real decent effort.
These injuries are insane.
Players going up tunnel nearly every period.
Meanwhile Panthers with not one player injured!
It has to turn....surely.

Tough nite....overall a good effort given the circumstances....ya felt even up 3-2 it was going to be tough to hold it. Florida is a better team than Tampa and we had...we had...we, well a tired decimated team. Nice try.

This game had loss written all over it. 3 games in 4 nights, 4th string starter, multiple injuries. Doubt this team can win at a clip good enough to make the playoffs with all these barriers.
Feels like it is not meant to be but good on them for having a crack,
The injuries are just horrendous...be nice if they banked more points earlier but again injuries were part of that.

I have to tip my cap to Jakub Skarek for last night. He may not play another game for the Islanders, but he deserved a better fate than what he got last night. The team in front of him must have reminded him of the poor support he gets from his teammates in Bridgeport.

Not sweating this one.

It would have been a thing of beauty if Skarek had stepped in and put in the performance of his life, but I did not see a Barzal-less team with a completely remade right side of the defense being able to do enough 60 minutes long to beat a team with FLA's firepower.

Now, where things go from here is another story.

A win against Vegas would be huge. Just claw and scratch your way into that 4-Nations tourney with another two points and then a few bodies should be back after that.
