Kucherov needs to screw off already. MacKinnon vs McDavid in the last game of the season for the Art Ross and potentially the Hart should be how this season ends. Must watch TV.

You know he won't. He'll keep making 3-4 points a game without breaking a sweat and it's going to be frustrating. That's just who he is.

In the East Isles vs Rags in round 1 is now a strong possibility.

Imagine Roy pulling the upset...

St. Louis losing tonight probably makes whatever slim chance they had of catching LA for WC2 officially dead.
Yea and in the East Isles vs Rags in round 1 is now a real possibility.

Imagine Roy pulling the upset...

Announcing that you're going to win a bid before winning the bid.

This org is being smart, as always.
I mean they kinda HAVE to do it this way don’t they? They’ve gotta do everything possible to drum up interest, they don’t have the luxury of playing it safe.

They also learned the hard way that not campaigning beforehand can cost you.

Wow didn't realize Roy had the Isles in a playoff spot. If anybody can pull of something crazy it's him. He works magic his first year almost every time as a player or coach on new teams.

How the hell are they gonna go from not being able to secure an arena for like 20 years or whatever it's been to pulling this georgous complex out of their ass?

Nothing about this video was real either. It was half stock footage and half renderings.

Feels like a con to keep the NHL from finally giving up on them.

Yeah, you would need to have no pulse to not get motivated/inspired by being around Patrick Roy every day for the first year.

I guess Roy has been absolutely RIPPING into the players for their lack of conditioning, as they've been getting gassed in stretches. I think we've seen what happens to guys who show up not ready to play during his time in Colorado.

Makes me wonder if Sorokin is one of those guys after Roy recently started Varly three straight games

I know Duchene loved it :sarcasm:

Roy's reaction when Duchene scored his 30th goal and celebrated like crazy in a 5-1 loss was epic...

Cale is cooked for the Norris this year if he can't even get the biased Calgary vote.
I'd be pissed if Makar actually had a Norris year. Truth is he's been struggling defensively all year and since the all star game he has been struggling offensively as well (per his standards).

Not a Norris year for Makar.

For the first couple of months this season he was very good though, probably the best version of himself so far in the NHL.

Bednar may have overplayed him.

It would be hilarious if he got though. The Canuck fans response would be priceless.

I remember him telling that young team that yes, it is a sport and winning is the goal and expectation. But...it is also the entertainment industry and no matter what, you need to put on a good show, even in defeat.

Duchene's actions went against everything Roy believes in. Matty was completely unaware/oblivious to the fact that celebrating personal victories in the midst of an ass-kicking like he was some damn hero was insulting pretty much every fan in attendance.

Button is a regular on Canadian television. Hughes plays for a Canadian team. Know your audience.
I don't fault anyone, if they have Q. Hughes over Cale Makar this season in their Norris ballot. But to suggest that Makar is not in the top-3 is pretty dumb from Button. Cale is having a down year by the eye test, but the stats speak for themselves.
