He should be allowed to say this if he believes it. Without repercussion.
I haven't followed this podcast or this stuff any further. But on the Reddit thread, they said that Ryan had obviously been drunk on a previous podcast, and had some questionable t-shirt on. So I doubt it's just because of this twitter outburst.

But I vehemently disagree with your sentence right there. You have the freedom of speech, but it doesn't make you free of consequences. And you should realize, that if you make certain comments, you might get heat on it.

Re: Norris talk

It almost matches the eye test except that it’s surprising his defence has actually been that good relative to his offence. Mack is absolutely carrying this team this year (and Makar) and regardless of ‘quality or teammates’ deserves the Hart just as much as Kucherov. It’s crazy to think Makar in a down year is still at least top 5 in the Norris conversation but he doesn’t deserve to win this year

Guentzel is going to get a huge contract next summer and some team (probably Carolina) is going to regret it.

Sooner or later, dummies like Bobby Ryan and others who hide behind "first amendment rights" to say whatever they want will realize you can say what you want, but there can and will be consequences. Just as you get to voice your thoughts and opinions, those who disagree can speak up against them. The first amendment protects your freedoms from congress passing laws, not that you can run your mouth off without consequence from others.

You're not wrong, but if everyone that gets offended about people not liking women's sports actually watched women's sports then they'd be actually be profitable and not require the men's leagues to prop them up
