Andrej Sekera

If by specialized situations you mean the powerplay, I disagree. Doughty needs to warm the bench on the powerplay.

He needs to be the guy they throw on with 20 seconds left to round the failed attempt out and oversee us shift back into ES strength play. Like when you see Regehr out there with seconds left, when they've given up.

Sekera, Muzzin, Martinez, McNabb, even Greene make quicker decisions from the point.

Martinez/Muzzin/Sekera (when and if he comes back)/Muzzin - they should be on it. Doughty is brutal.

I thought that ran out this season? I hope that he is immune to start the season and that would make sense but I still wonder what the team wants from him or if having the right to send him down would could be a big step backwards for his career with the team. Last I remember is that they love the kid and think he is right there at being ready to play in the NHL. Still anything can happen and if he isn't our best option when the time comes then so be it.

Someone here, I forget who to give credit to, posted a link to a page on mcsorleys-stick.com that indicated he's waiver exempt through next season.

Forbort is still exempt from waivers for all of next year. He will play a lot of hockey next year either way, up or down. And with Ontario, it'll be easy to do. This will be great for his continued development.

Well this does suck.
Not expecting to see Andrej Sekera back before end of regular season. After that? Waiting to see what is beyond April 11. #Playoffs?

@frozenroyalty
Just saw #LAKings D Andrej Sekera walking out of @ToyotaSportsCtr. Walking fine, but he has a brace on his right knee.

At least he's not in a cast.

Well they wouldn't put him in a cast yet, but yeah, he's walking fine on his own power which is good.

I predicted MCL back at the beginning and though I still hope I'm wrong that could be fine or bad. See Brown, Simmonds, etc.

But for a guy who moves much laterally/uses his agility...

I doubt if he's willing at all to risk further injury. He's a man without a contract, and there's no reason for him to risk further injury. If the Kings want him to play in the playoffs, he'd do it if he had an extension!! But an extension he likes as well, which the Kings might not be able to give him!! So, you might have already seen his last game as a King!! Stay tuned!!

What is the condition of the first round pick given to the canes in the trade?
What does it change to if condition not met?
Thanks Kings fans!!!!!!

Pretty simple, if Kings miss the playoffs, they keep the pick. If they make the playoffs, the pick goes to Carolina.

Ok, I went a little overboard. I'm sure he'd love to win a Stanley Cup! But, what I said is not completely far fetched. He's going to reach a point with this injury where he could maybe play, and there is a lot for him to think about! I'm just saying he might not be so eager to come back a little early, if he ends up in a gray zone! If it were RR, I wouldn't be saying this!

We don't know the extent of the injury. It could very well be he's lost until July.

If they are saying he won't be back until after the regular season, I think we can expect he's going to miss some playoff games as well, unfortunately.

Carolina would get 2016 1st instead if we miss the playoffs this year. And they get it no matter what we do in 2016.
