I've always had a theory that the Rangers are almost too much 'first class' org. You can't treat hockey players like a princess.

True...but in saying that you as a coach cannot lose your stars either...you have to put up with 60% efforts and just hope the GM makes the needed changes over time . Gallant is limited to what he can do in some situations because of the inexperience of our club and lack of shoulders he has to tap on when needed . We have many green players at the moment and it's also why he leans on the vets so much . We certainly are far from a finished product . Most on here are aware of that except for a couple and they never present a working solution from their armchair but just critique the coach who has been here for 40+ games LOL.....we do have some smart posters....but those self proclaimed armchair experts who mostly show up after a loss .... certainly are not in that bracket ....LOL...no need to mention names as they know who they are by now .

@Loki Dog 74 you’re right. I’m not gloomy about it. They are missing their Norris defenseman. We know they need some depth adds. They had one bad period imo. The 2nd period was not good. They were much better in the 3rd. The no goal is complete horseshit imo. Talbot is down. Its not Stromes problem he can move his pad with his stick. He is banging away trying to tie the game. An awful, awful call.

Team still has 60 points. We know what the needs are. See yall Sunday. I’ll still be watching and I love this team. Its a long season.

Lineup was too green tonight. No idea why brodzinski is in over barron though. Gallant doesn’t like Lundkvist and I don’t blame him

DIsappointing loss on Hanks big night. I thought they looked great in the first. Don't know if they skated their legs off in that period and were gassed for the rest of the game but the Wild took control of the game after the first. I knew it was going to be tough to get the W in this one given the circumstances, opponent, and injuries, but they got my hopes up in the first with the way they played.

I'm frustrated by Panarin. Looks dominant at times and pathetic at others. They say consistency is the mark of greatness. Panarin has a long ways to go in that department if he wants to be considered as one of the great players in this league.

Ceremony was nice although it was missing some of the older guard. It also sucks that Zubov's #21 went up in the wrong rafter as #56 last night. For as much as I love Neil The Deal for 89-94, his 95-00 rivaled Joe McIlvane's Mets tenure in how to destroy organizational depth.

Hank in the booth with Sam and Joe was too much. Love Hank but it was too busy and the Wild scored the first goal, I was done with it.

Rangers need the break badly. No depth.

last night we were down an entire line top 9 line with Chytil and Kakko out.

We just don’t have the depth to overcome that. Definitely not without our best player in Fox.

these next couple games will be tough.

not playing Barron though is ridiculous made it worse.

this coaching staff MUST keep that first line together. All the underlying numbers even at the start of the year showed it was working. Mika wasn’t himself then he is now. They have to solidify that line it will help place everyone behind it

See the issue here is we had a ton of cap space for this season and knew this was going to be a year where lots of guys missed time because of Covid or injuries.

And yet the only AAAA players we added this offseason were Tinordi, McKegg, and Hunt.

This problem was foreseeable and could have been handled better. NYR could have brought in more veteran depth on one year contracts
