Like I said before, bad passing = no shots and with out shots no goals.
It also seems that the opposing goalies are either very up to play the Rangers or on a hot streak and stand on their heads o we just make them look good
New York ( Brooklyn ) Americans still live, was hoping that was put to bed.
Oh well, on to Sunday

Rangers need this break to get here quick. We haven't had many good games this season and I don't really expect that to change. We know this team has been riding Shesty this season and they don't really have any other choice at the moment. I think Drury is smart enough to realize he can't have his top two centers be clones, especially when one of them is incapable of defending. With Strome gone next season GG will have a better opportunity to sink his teeth into the composition of this team. There's no chance Strome can play GG hockey and GG knows it so there's not much he can do about it at the moment. Panarin and Strome are going to play shinny hockey the rest of the season and our top two lines will be overwhelmed in the playoffs no matter what additions this team makes. Unless Drury whips out a magical Strome+ trade to fix the top six this season we're going to be watching Shesty bail this team out the rest of the way.

I think the term the team let up is way overused. Remember, announcers and such have to believe in these things to have a job. Go watch Bobby knight top 10 countdown...one of those he mocks the term game face ..basically it's a made up nonsense term. The team let up is nonsense in my view....how can individual players all let up .think its a huge metaphor.

Minnesota was favored in this game on the road ..even with Henrik night

  1. The third pairing should be Jones-Schneider when everyone is healthy. It amazing how much better PP2 looks with Jones.
  2. Hajek should be the #7 D over Nemeth and Tinordi.
  3. Lafreniere should stick on the top line. He needs talent around him. Hunt-Chytil-Kakko could do well as a third line.
  4. Henrik always deserves better than what is on the ice in front of him, even in the booth.

That’s not surprising, most times that ceremonies are held the home team loses. Played well the first period and not so well the next two.
maybe some kinks get worked out after the break.

If that’s called a goal on the ice (which it was) it would never be overturned. That is all. Henrik Forever.

Dam, I wish we went with Shesty last night. At least would have gotten 2 pts out of this back to back. Gallant should put Panarin with Zib and Kreider. They did that and it worked, only to go back to Panarin and Strome again.

You can't sit your franchise goalie during a night like this. I believe Shesterkin has claimed that Henrik is an idol of his. I would give up the two points not to piss Igor off. Plus it's just the right thing to do.

Florida, Tampa, Toronto, Carolina, pittsburgh...are all teams much lower odds to win the cup. Especially Florida... Tampa..Toronto

With how aggressive that power hungry maniac ref was making the call, I wonder if he had a bet riding on this game. Should be banned from the NHL & potentially arrested

I’ve thrown this out there before but it sure seems the officiating and calls like this have become way more suspect once they started running nothing but betting app commercials

Despite the loss I’m hugely hopeful for this team going forward. We’re hanging in there with teams that will compete for the cup this year and we still have a ton of room (and I do mean a ton) to grow. If Fox wasn’t out we probably walk away with at least a point

Absolutely no one realistically expects us to win this year, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.

One thing I will say:

Yeah Kakko wasn’t playing with much fire offensively, but he does solidify the overall defensive prowess of the forward group and they miss that

Imo you have to go

Lafreniere Zibanejad Kreider
Panarin Strome Kakko

as your top 6. It’s the best fit short and long term

Goodrow has to be on the third line to extend this lineup.

we’ve seen Mckegg/Hunt Rooney Reaves are a solid 4th line when getting 4th line mins

You want….. skill

You’d settle for….. grit

You get….. Tonight’s “effort”
Skills are great if they bring it every game. You can have all the skill in the world but you still have to enter corners and battle and hit the crease and battle and fight for room between the bluelines on every shift and be nasty while doing it . These days we have passengers making big dough who don't like being dirtied , yes Panarin , plus Ryan Reaves figures he is now a goalscorer and won't drop the mitts...should have went full bore on a couple of Wild last night when the opp arose .....that's what he is paid for . Plus you have Kreider now a 50 goal scorer who hardly does ANYTHING 5 on 5 other than rob Laf of valuable development minutes . We have a few grinders but that has to be a team effort for 60 minutes...Wild played HARD...skated HARD...hit Hard !!! Our fat cats set the tone for games like these . Kreider had a couple of chances to nail guys on the end boards and set that tone...but he hardly ever does . Gauthier also threw one good hit....mark that down as it is rare ! He needs to that on 2/3 shifts . The better constructed team won last night .

Look, just stick with Barron, stick with Laf on the top line, stick with Jones. Stop running AHL zero future players like Brodzinski and Tinordi or Hunt in the top six. Just let their be some growing pains for these kids. The team is still in good shape. 5v5 we can’t get worse. Let it happen. Stop with Gettinger and Brodzinski. Please.
YUP....take the hit points wise and give these kids the ice and move on . The downtime won't be long . Wild got rid of their overpriced vets and look at them....hardworking and young and doing well . There is absolutely no reason that can't be us .

If it was a goal on the ice, I think it's 50/50 on whether it would stand. Stromer did push the goalie with his stick, pretty clearly IMO. Since they waved it off immediately, it was absolutely not going to be a good goal.

I'm okay with it. Even if it was the wrong call, think of it as a makeup from when we benefitted from the blown offside call earlier in the year.

I honestly think there's something wrong with Panarin physically. His first year with the team he was still excellent at 5v5. Then last season there was some leakage and now he's a negative more often than he's not.
Age-smoking-drinking-not prepping himself properly in the off season -fat locked down foolproof contract.....pick at least 2 of these reasons as to why he is what he is these days . The warning signs were there when he took 3 weeks away from the club when we were fighting for the playoffs . I would have been on it then but front office ...the former front office F'ed that situation up .

We will NEVER win a playoff series as long as Panarin is on our club....it is that simple !!! He is just another Yashin. We gotta get out from under his deal ASAP even if we just get the cap back and nothing to show ,we win , and will be instantly better because of it .

Give him away and use the 10 million on that young center and watch this team go to town .

I could see why they did not allow that goal.

Strome absolutely pushed Talbot with his stick.

TBH, they didn't do themselves any favors by blowing a 2-0 lead for the 2nd straight game/day.

Ruined what should have been a great Friday night

I don't know Turk, look around the league and the division and I am not seeing too much losing from top teams. Playoff position teams have 8-10 loses left EACH, what's his plan to keep pace?
With our roster and where it is at development wise we simply might not keep up in the standings with those teams further along in the Cup race . It would not matter who was coaching them if they did not have the horses to send over the boards when needed . You can only get so much out of so few and if the stable is not full or not quite a finished product....what happens is you will fall behind in the race . That is when you have to look at the big picture and keep developing and increasing the quality of the stable . Many posters have mentioned we might need to take a step back to move forward . That is likely the best short term move in the long run for us while we wait to get rid of a few fat cats who are obviously well fed these days and don't bring the effort every game as needed......that's hardly on the coach who has all of 40+ games here .....and has us in 3rd in the Metro while playing so many on the road....

The coach is not the problem regardless of what the agenda presented by a few on here would like you to believe . Skip past those narrow minded views and replies....

After Minnesota tied it they just stopped skating and can certainly blame the travel and playing the night before but still, teams find a way even on a back to back.

Wild are also a top team that will do some damage in the West. I honestly wouldn’t mind the loss on Thursday if it meant a win last night.

They should be able to beat Seattle tomorrow, Florida will be tough without Fox.
