I'd suspect the lines start the same way they ended last game...

Nash - Richards - Gabby
Pyatt - Stepan - Callahan
Hagelin - Boyle - Rupp
Newbury - Halpern - Bickel

Expectation in Philly with Marty Biron the only goalie on ice for #NYR optional skate is that Henrik Lundqvist will make 4th straight start.

Bickel needs to go. Both Emerson or Gilroy are better choices. Anyone have a Timetable on Sauer? He is what we are missing on Defense. If the Rangers make any moves it should be for a solid defensman.

Rupp should be on the 5th line, not the 3rd line

Exactly. The way to negate him is to make him defend himself. The Rangers did that to him last year when he fought Bickel, Prust and Dubinsky in the same game.

The weird thing about Sestito is that he actually has some offense in him. When he gets to the NHL, he just forgets everything.
 
Their lineup looks grotesque. I don't care how "hungry" they may be to get a win, we need to stomp on their throats.
 
We can't keep running the Nash-Richards-Gaborik line out all the time. We are going to need secondary scoring, putting your 3 best players on the same line all the time is not the way to do that.

Probably not, but when that's the only line with any real chemistry, what do you do? This is a short season. If you take 10-15 games to get the pieces to fit together, it'll be too late.
 
Gotta get on the Flyers early and we should be good.

In the past games agaisnt Flyers, we have played physical and taken an early lead and clowns like Rinaldo would run around the ice taking penalties. Play smart and put them on their heels early.

Got a great feeling tonight, 5-1 win. Top like will produce 4 goals.

Putting one of your best players on the second line isn't "secondary scoring." That's like taking two tires off of your car and taping them together so you can say you have a motorcycle.
 
Sad that I can't watch this one live. Will try to avoid any TVs at work.

ya not much. now hes a lumbering monster. his goals come from in close. he scored in juniors but he was younger and lighter back then. now hes a grinder/fighter.

he is a great kid though from a terrific family.

its so funny cause my son played with him on the syr stars for 2 seasons. hes a year older than my son. back then, he was tall and thin and kinda dominated with his size. he was a fighter in junior a and then was drafted by plymouth.

hes from rome. his older bro is timmy.
 
I'd have a lot more respect for this "great kid" if he didn't run around trying to injure other players wherever he goes.

doesnt he play for the Devils minor league team?? i dont know much about his brother.. i wonder if the Devils will call him up sometime. i think his brother is more skilled..
 
Our bottom depth concerns me.

Pyatt on our 2nd line? Yes he has scored 2 goals, but that pace will not last. He's the ideal 3rd liner.

Who to play with Cally and Stepan? Hagelin has been playing choppy hockey too. Kreider looks lost for now...

I know it'll even out somewhat in the end. Still gotta love my Devils fan friends pumping their chests 2 games in.

I feel sorry for the Flyers that forward lineup looks awful without Hartnell, Briere and Schenn. They still have several competent forwards and if they shutdown the Rangers top line they could easily win. Hank needs to get his game back.
