I don't know if we'll see a fight at the puck drop. Torts has the first call on who is out there. He's not really one to go with the heavyweights at the beginning when he's got first change.

Stranger things have happened though.

With Sestito there I would say theres likely to be a scrap tonight. Last year that guy fought Boyle, Dubinsky, Bickel and Prust. He was public enemy number 1.

What are the chances tonight's game begins with NYR line of Bickel-Newbury-Rupp against Flyers line of Sestito-Rinaldo-Shelley?

If so Mike Rupp might have to book a doctors appointment I fear. Shelly is mean

Putting one of your best players on the second line isn't "secondary scoring." That's like taking two tires off of your car and taping them together so you can say you have a motorcycle.

secondary scoring, depth, call it whatever you want, it allows more lines than the 1st one to score goals.

I think Nash has a big night and the Rangers PP clicks and we knock Bryz out of the game

Yeah, Sestino your a funny guy and we like you. We like you so much we're gonna kill you last.

Lundqvist is in and Kreider is out for Newbury? Two moves I don't like. Whatever, get it done.

Guys like Callahan, Hagelin and Stepan are secondary scorers. Those guys need to score regardless of who is on their line.

Hags looked good last game. With the energy he brings he'll get on the score sheet consistently. Stepan is quietly putting up points. I will never worry about Cally. His game obviously is so much more than what you see on the scoresheet.

I still think these lines are best suited for balanced scoring:

Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
Nash - Stepan - Callahan

Nash has proven throughout his career that he doesn't need elite line mates to produce. He can create offense on his own like we have seen in the first 3 games. Putting all of your eggs in one basket will work some games like yesterday but isn't a good strategy over the course of a season. These lines have the added benefit of every player playing in their natural position. Gabby looked MUCH more comfortable yesterday back at RW.

kreider out for newbury. what a joke. so i guess the 15 minutes of total ice time that torts gave kreider is enough to determine hes not ready for the nhl?

So it looks like Hank is starting again, CK is a healthy scratch and the Flyers are really, really banged up. We need 2 points. A full 60 mins would be nice too.

The 16 AHL game stretch where he scored two points likely played into it as well.
