Henrik has not looked good so far...I'd say play him to get his confidence going. he always gets up for the Flyer games.

he does have a good W-L record against the Flyers, but if my memory serves me right, his other numbers aren't that good, e.g. save%. Could be that I'm way off, but that's my impression.

However, I think he will play. He said already before the start of the season that it's unlikely he will be on top of his game right away so I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Have Biron play next Tuesday against the Flyers, leaving Lundqvist some more days off between games.

I'd go Lundqvist tomorrow.

Also, no Schenn or Hartnell. Rangers should take it. Going for 9 in a row vs Philly.

Rangers just called up Kris Newbury so now we see what the plan is with him. Most likely to replace Bickel and not Kreider. Hopefully he takes advantage of another chance on the big stage

where was this?? i havent seen this anywhere. much rather see Kolarik called up then Newbury

I thought I read somewhere that there would be no Briere either. If that's the case, we have no excuses to lose.

Might as well play Biron tomorrow. With Hartnell, Briere, and Schenn out of the lineup, Toronto's offense has more firepower.

Would not mind seeing:

Marian Gaborik Brad Richards Rick Nash
Carl Hagelin Derek Stepan Taylor Pyatt
Chris Kreider Brian Boyle Ryan Callahan
Mike Rupp Jeff Halpern Chris Newbury

Ryan McDonagh Dan Girardi
Marc Staal (A) Michael Del Zotto
Anton Stralman Stu Bickel (cuz it is Philthy & Asham is out)

2nd/3rd lines interchangeable.

I understand the reasoning behind that lineup and it makes good sense but I'm still sad to see Bickel there and not Emmy

It's like a drug relapse

We are going to relapse on Bickel :(

Nash-Richards-Gaborik
Pyatt-Stepan-Callahan
Kreider-Boyle-Hagelin

I think that 3rd line would be a nice forechecking line and maybe Kreider & Hagelin on the same line would put some tremendous pressure on the D with their skating. Boyle probably can't dish out the puck to them, but have them play a dump & chase and pressure the D into mistakes.

I mean Callahan and Boyle on the same line is like waiting for light to escape the black hole so why not Kreider & Hagelin on the same line?

Hopefully they can build off the momentum from winning against the Bruins.

Looks like Hartnell and Briere will be GTD's. With all the hoping and wishing in this thread it wouldn't surprise me if they both end up playing.

This game worries me as the Flyers are due to break out soon. With that being said... is it me or do the flyers just look so... bad?

Offense looks pathetic. Defense looks almost as bad. Goaltending...

Think what you want, but no team got screwed as hard as Philly by injuries over the last few years...

3-1 NYR, I hope Lundqvist finally finds his groove. Nash, Callahan and Boyle with the goals.

I know that they're pissed from their 0-3 start, but I'll be damned if we drop this game with the roster they're icing tonight.

kreider stepan callahan needs to be the second line. makes perfect sense. cally is defensively responsible. kreider has speed and stepan is crafty. love that line.

give those guys 10 games together. ignore the numbers until they have 10 games. and give them pp 2 minutes too. kreider just needs to play with cally and learn from the best.

pyatt boyle hags on line 3 makes alot of sense too.

ya have to have hags and krieder on diff lines so we dont end up with the sloth line of pyatt stepan and cally.

just do it torts

I live in Philly and just saw the local sports news.
Schenn suspended tonight
Hartnell out indefinitely, out for sure tonight
Briere out until at least the weekend

Rangers should have their way with this team. Match Girardi/McD up with Giroux and they have nothing. I forsee a fight to start the game to get the crowd into the game. Rangers will come out on top and the Flyers fans will see how screwed they are with Nash in their division now. Rangers will win 5-1.

Might as well put Callahan on the third line. He's never had chemistry with Stepan before and I think he was one of our worst forwards yesterday. Can Pyatt play off wing?
