Baseball is only sport that has this problem. Some of the top free agents available as spring training starts is just absolutely ridiculous.

Wow these ratings are all over the place

I used to be a fan of miliken but he’s become a Felger & Mazz ball washer

He’s infected

Can’t wait for games to see these guys
Real good baseball stuff on 98.5 with Felger out. Cora discussed the lack of baseball intelligence from the guys in the team. Discussed his baseball game he played in Florida and the kids on the field had know clue about signals.

The market is eerily similar to the collusion years of the 80s.
Agreed, but I don't think it's collusion.

For the most part, the guys who are still out there are guys looking for multi-year deals. In order to hand out multi-year deals, teams need to know what their revenues will look like for the duration of the contract, and there are just way too many teams that have no idea what their next TV contract will look like.

Of course, none of this applies to the Red Sox, who should have taken advantage of an artificially depressed market, but that's another story.

Red Sox 2nd baseman:

This makes me upset because he was such a a baby about it in 2022 that they had to move Story to 2nd base and part of the negotiation of his long ass contract was him wanting to stay at short.
They could have paid him and moved him to 2nd like the Padres did. I can understand a guy being reluctant to move to a "cheaper" position in a contract year.

Some of these fanatics jerseys are terrible. Never spent a dime on anything fanatics and never will but it's bad enough ripping fans off for cheap crap, now they are sending major league players out to play in jerseys that look worse than Chinese knockoffs. They aren't going away either, pretty sure they if you want to buy merchandise for any of the major leagues plus the ncaa or mls. It's all fanatics.

Now trade the other relievers, too.

At this point, sure. I don't give a flying f about this team. But to raise ticket prices and do this? Shameful. But what does John Henry care, visiting fans will take over Fenway again this year.
