They need more of it with Boras clients. The same way they are treating Bauer in fact. Force people to switch agents and push that greedy puke out

Stop blaming Boras for almost 9/10ths of the league being ran by a bunch of tightwads. Teams need to open up their wallets and spend what the market dictates.

This makes me upset because he was such a a baby about it in 2022 that they had to move Story to 2nd base and part of the negotiation of his long ass contract was him wanting to stay at short.

Because Trevor Story sucks and has a noodle for an arm. Ha-seong Kim doesn't suck and is actually an elite talent that can play the most challenging position in baseball.

The Sox trade away a player from their major league roster for a guy in single A and all the writers fall in line and wash the Sox balls, all while burying the lead once again. The roster sucked last year and wasn't good enough, yet this offseason all they've done is get worse every chance they could. They've repeatedly waives the white flag all off season and have screamed they're not even attempting to be competitive at this point.

I get so fed up with the fact that people applaud FSG to continue do this stupid shit. Punting away the season for the vague promise of a better future does this team no good when there's no guarantee that any of these players will be major league caliber or valuable enough to get better players down the line. Especially when this team has the financial resources to win now and be top 5 in payroll.

All FSG has done is put further doubt in the people who care about the team that they are still invested and treat it the way they would any line asset. They look like a bunch of carpetbaggers who were willing to swoop in, spend a bit, and reap the rewards when things were going good. But now that this team is going through hard times, they refuse to rebuild now and make it that much harder for a crown jewel franchise in MLB to be competitive. The only difference between FSG's current cheapskate nonsense and Marge Schott's tenure as owner of the Reds, other than John Henry not being caught with his foot in his mouth saying something completely tone deaf and unforgivable, is that the Red Sox actually have the money to fix this.

The approach has been pretty clear for a couple months now. They're cutting payroll and having a bridge year. No big ticket moves are coming, so there's no use in getting all worked up and beating the dead horse of INTEREST KINGS and FULL THROTTLE every time another team does sign a player.

That’s a move for 2025. Just had TJ in August. Obvs been a very good reliever when healthy. Beat cancer recently.

Now do this with Woodruff too

Oh wow, TJ in August? Much more recent than I thought. So you're right, definitely seems to be a 2025 deal.
