There really is no sense in keeping Martin and Jansen if they don’t intend on competing for the division

Kid they picked up looks interesting

This is actually probably a really good trade value wise but people will just bash it because they’re trading off the major league roster
No, I bash it because it's a continuation of having no desire to compete this year while telling fans otherwise and raising prices. They can go to hell.

The Sox trade away a player from their major league roster for a guy in single A and all the writers fall in line and wash the Sox balls, all while burying the lead once again. The roster sucked last year and wasn't good enough, yet this offseason all they've done is get worse every chance they could. They've repeatedly waives the white flag all off season and have screamed they're not even attempting to be competitive at this point.

For the record, I don't give a shit about this trade. They're a last place team with no intention of competing so trading a reliever for a prospect makes sense. But as a firm believer in TNSTAAPP a 23 year old in High A doesn't exactly have me doing jumping jacks.

23 in High A sounds like the opposite of interesting to me.
He’ll probably be ranked in the teens in the system. Last year was his first full season in affiliated ball, got cut short after a couple starts in high A. He turns 23 in a couple days so he’s not there yet. He’ll likely get up to AA this year as a 23 YO, and considering he was a college player that’s a perfectly normal trajectory

Scouting reports are positive and I know he’s seen some velocity increases. Evaluators seem to like it a lot for the Sox

It's honestly totally fine, but I just don't see any reason to be excited or upset.

Going to be tough for them to fill Fenway regardless of the tourist attraction. There’s going to be some very cheap seats. The ones who lose out on this are the season ticket holders.

Even if they gave out free tickets, I wouldn't support this pos ownership. I support the players playing on this shitty team but that's it.

It's unreal. These writers all want to work for the team I guess, They rag on Schreiber saying his best year "wasn't 2023" when it was 2022 lol. Not like it was 2019.
