It's absolutely HILARIOUS that we woke up yesterday w/ multiple MLB insiders/reporters talking about how Montgomery to the Red Sox was picking up some momentum. But then Cora had to be the bearer of bad news and reveal the Zoom call was 2 weeks ago, and since then we have Cotillo and McAdam revealing that agents are still frustrated by the Red Sox's penny-pinching mentality.
Jordan Montgomery could be here right now and we could still be under the luxury tax threshhold. But this ownership group are being cheap f***s. It was for that reason that I was fine IF they had decided to keep Bloom around (because they have their f***ing hands meddling with everything).
