Literally don't care if they trade Jansen cause they can finish in fifth without him just as easily. (Not to mention I thought he sort of sucked last year and don't trust him.)

What I do care about is them refusing to retain any salary when doing so would clearly bring back a better package. f***ing small market bullshit.

How anyone would waste their time rooting for this organization is mind boggling, are they even trying to win?

It's one season, dude. Yoshida still needs to adjust to the travel of the MLB schedule. Also, no. Devers needs to play the field and have some value as a fielder. This team can't just keep adding more and more DHs and sticking them in random spots to bury others. Have Devers and Casas switch corners on the diamond to cover up Devers' limitations at third base. Casas has played third before and is young enough where he should have the athleticism to play in the hot corner.

That's abominable. The fact that the Red Sox invest so little in pitching speaks to how foolish Chaim Bloom was with his approach. Simply taking the best athlete available every round like your f***ing Al Davis running the Raiders in the 1970s doesn't work in baseball because baseball is more than just pure athleticism. Each position requires specific toolsets or archetype for them to succeed at their job on the diamond. And if you don't have enough of arguably the most important one in the pitcher, it doesn't matter how many runs you score because you'll f*** yourself over eventually when things aren't going your way offensively.

I don’t even care if they’re moving them because they’re rebuilding….but I’d rather see them moved at the deadline when a desperate team may pay more.

My Wednesday night yoga class asks before meditation if we want the group to basically send positive vibes out to someone who could use it

the only time I ever asked for positive thoughts was for Don Sweeney after Fluto shredded him in summer of 2022 over firing of Bruce Cassidy

Tonight I will ask for the group to send loving and positive thoughts/prayers/vibes to Craig Breslow

Go to a shitty team long term? Sure, show me the $$$

Go to s shitty team short term? No way. Take a 2 year incentive deal with the Yankees with an opt-out in year 2, hit the market again when its not Japanese mania. And get to compete for a WS.

I read something that Alex Speier wrote yesterday that suggested the only way the Sox would get involved with Montgomery would be if his market cratered... but that if his market cratered, Montgomery would likely look to sign with a contender on a short-term deal.

At this point it wouldn't make sense adding Montgomery. They would be better off by tanking and getting the best possible draft position, then it's praying for Theo to get this franchise back on track next year.

I’m not saying he’s coming because its very possible John Henry in his loudest whisper said ‘they want to boo me after 4 WS I’ll give them something to bitch about’ and tank the team

But just go 83-79 and have Alex Speier write an article Roman Anthony is the next Matt Holiday and dolts like me will buy in

The Sox Spanish broadcaster and Sox WEEI in game/post game host both said in last 2 weeks Montgomery wants to sign here

Their Farm System is void of pitching so you eventually sign Montgomery and take a big strain of the staff

Breslow is supposed to be the pitching whisperer so he can work with Houck, Whitlock, Crawford, Bello etc

I dont get this team unless they are in a staring contest with Boras

Right now they are probably a 75 - 87 team

You get Montgomery and make another add you jump to 83 wins

At least you are watchable and got interesting players

This isn’t Miami or Pittsburgh

4.5 B and generating 12-15 % with highest ticket prices

They have to be waiting on a couple of guys

Doesn’t add up what’s going on

I think it was Pepin or someone who said they are in negotiations or close with him

I find it insulting this is John Henry plan

He’s the money guy and in this city winning 70 games and coming in last won’t sell April, May, June, or September

It’s a museum and people only need to see it once - out of town fans won’t sustain

Cora & Breslow seem as surprised as us they are tanking and going with smaller payroll

This is Heywood Sullivan ownership days but they got billions whereas he didn’t have squat
