No idea where to post this. I know it's 2021-22 but it really sucks that Formenton had to be himself. We lost a great support player and he would help tremendously right now

Also interesting to see Jaros in there. And it's surprising with his size and weight. I thought we gave up fast on him, a shame that he couldn't carve out a 3rd pairing role particularly when you look at a guy like Hamonic play

Would people do Tkachuk for Michkov if it was proposed by Philly? 5 years younger, 2 more years of ELC

I know people love Brady but a Stutzle-Michkov duo for many years to come is enticing...

Yeah but Kuzmenko has no value. He should but like Vrana, no value. I was high on Pelletier but he might not bring more than 3rd line offense in the NHL

Farabee and Frost are still young and could bring more than they did in Philly. Good for the Flames IMO. However they also spent a 2nd

Apparently Frost has been progressing nicely, defense became his best attribute.

Wouldn’t make that trade.

Ugh. A few games ago they posted Hamonic's shot speed - he unleashed an 81.3mph muffin! 2 feet wide of the net, of course...

Wouldn’t make that trade.

Let's forget about emotional attachment one second. What if Michkov was the guy Stutzle would need to reach another level, and the team too at the same time? He turned 20 y/o in December. Tkachuk turned 25 y/o in September

Since January 9th :

MM : 4 goals, 7 pts in 15 games
BT : 2 goals, 5 pts in 16 games

Since December 7th :

MM : 7 goals, 14 pts in 30 games
BT : 7 goals, 14 pts in 30 games

Brady has carried 3rd liner stats for a full 2 months now, 9th on the team during that stretch. Similar to Amadio's pace since that date (0.47 vs 0.45)

xxxxxxx - Stutzle - Michkov
xxxxxxx - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - xxxxxxx

Perron, Giroux and Amadio will eventually need to be replaced/upgraded so I didn't put them in that line-up. It was more to highlight what could be the duos built around for the Top-9 with that scenario

Frankly, IF the Flyers were crazy enough to do this (which I doubt), I would have a hard time to say no. That said, it's not ideal as we have no idea when Michkov will enter his prime and we're kind in a hurry...

Some people think Brady will want to go to Florida to join his brother. No idea but gotta be prepared for all scenarios (well Staios MUST be). I don't care what he says in front of the medias (in case you were going to reply with that)

Outside of Sanderson and Chabot Hamonic is as good as anyone on our blue line at getting his shot through from the high D position. Of all his weaknesses that isn't one. And I don't know what shot you're referring to but 81 mph isn't terrible without context. Probably average for a flip wrist shot from the point. He doesn't unload a cannon (then again nobody on the team does, or the league for that matter). His shot is designed for deflections or rebounds. Not saying he's generating a ton of offence with it, but his shot gets through and on net at a perfectly acceptable rate.

Not doing that trade.

Shot speed isn’t one of his concerns, as I’ve seen others ones shown at 90+ mph.
He’s one of the few that gets shots through .
His top shot of the year is in the 87th percentile in the league at 96.7

Tkachuk is finally playing defense and isn't taking stupid penalties, I want to keep him and see how he does if we squeak into the playoffs. Michkov and Torts will become unworkable in a year or so and he'll be traded eventually.

Plus Michkov is worse defensively than Tkachuk at his worst defensively. If we were to get Michkov, that would signal a retool and if we trade Tkachuk to Philly, they better be adding more than Michkov.
