Our starting pitching has turned from a banged up questionable unit to being a force. Pitching like 2022. Brown-Valdez-Kikuchi are pitching lights out and is looking like a fearsome unit for any potential playoff series. I've been dead wrong about that trade so far. I'm beyond stoked.

Ron Washington goes suicide squeeze, Runner on 3rd and no one out. Turned a sure win into a double play.

Ron fits in perfectly with the Angels commitment to below average baseball.

The Moniak at bat against Munoz was fantastic.. you can see why remnants of why he was drafted first overall. Could he ever put it all together?

Cubs are on quite the roll, absolutely smoking the Nats right now. Pete Crow-Armstrong, who they got in the Baez trade 3 years ago, with another nice game as he picks up 3 hits.

Yankees are really going to lose 2 of 3 at home to that ho hum Cards team?

Mets clinging to 1-0 lead in Chicago with 3 outs to get.

Huge 4 game sweep of the Royals. Took the season series and passed them in the standings for now. That injury to Vinnie really took the wind out of their sails.. Hopefully he comes back and tears it up next year . Not sure if he will be back in time for the playoffs this year.

D-Backs offence is something else, it's now 12-3. They don't even have Marte, Moreno and Walker.

Seattle has 3 outs left to avoid the humiliation of losing a must win series in Anaheim.

I know I should be happy that the Mariners are sinking but it genuinely frustrates me seeing an amazing season by a great starting rotation getting flushed down the drain because of a horrid offense. I'm not sure that I've seen anything like this on the scale we're seeing .

Phillies and Braves to extras. Strahm gets out of bases loaded with 1 out, then Harper gets a walk after being down 0-2, and was followed by some impressively bad AB's in succession

Castellanos wins it. Phillies take 3 of 4 in the series. They're 7 games up on the Braves.

Hopefully the Phillies don't see them in the playoffs.

5-2 in their biggest week of the season.
