Yeah, doesn’t look like they’ll get to the playoffs but atm I would be they end up in the 8-12 range, similar range to where the Ducks will be, conservatively.

Who are some players of interest for everybody currently?

One that’s started to perk my interest in Cayden Lindstrom. Big, power game, goal scoring, and decent skater from what I’ve read, could be a good fit imo.

I figured we'd be out of the top-5 selection and we're in need of a tall, scoring RW'ing. Emil Hemming is a player that perked my eyes and he's slowly rising up. Some mocks, he's not in the first round. MyNHLdraft had him in the late 20's, but now has jumped to the late teens.

Lindstrom is ranked 9th in MyNHLdraft. At the Hlinka Gretzky cup, he notched 2g +1a in 5 games. Hemming scored 4g + 5a in 5 games at the same tournament. The highest scorers at the Hlinka Gretzky tourney had 10 points.

Hemming is another one I’ve been keeping my tabs on. A forward with a goal scoring bias, and ideally a strong power game or component of speed to his game would be ideal for our foward group imo.

Would be funny if Rakell ends up traded out of Pitt. Pittsburgh has 2 x 1Cs, how they can't get it together makes me wonder if they have a locker room issue.

Hemming is also a June 27th birth. He's like a whole season younger and potential growth for more.

If we're continuing our current pace, can we please get Tij Iginla? I know he's not his father, but I see a bit of a Tkatchuk in him. He could grow to become Killorn once the original is through his contract.

For me it is all Nikita Artamonov and Hemming. Artamonovs teammate Vasili Atanasov looks also interesting, but would be free agent signing.

Hard to get excited when our range of outcomes for draft pick could be anywhere from 5-20 realistically.
I hope for a big RHD or a scoring winger.

Side note, the Ducks have played the hardest schedule in the NHL and have the 2nd easiest going forward

I was wondering if I should put this on the Former Ducks -thread or this one. I guess this is the better place. So Saku Koivu's son Aatos is draftable next year. He has recently gotten on people's radars. Could be a riser this year. Likely not a top round pick but could be someone to keep an eye on for later rounds.

He pulled this shootout move just a couple of days ago.

Very similar move what his dad used to do a lot back in the day, which is cool.

Carter Yakemchuk is a guy to keep an eye on. Big physical RHD, good but not great skater, putting up a ton of points on a bad Hitmen team. There are no NHL prospects on the team. The only player with more points is Tschigerl with 2 more.

Start looking at top 5 picks :sarcasm:

for real though, if the Ducks had not come back just half the games they had 3rd period comebacks they would be in the #2 pick position…..

After tonight? Gladly. 6th worst team in points percentage and Columbus and Ottawa are only 2 points behind us as the barrier from the bottom 5 (and Ottawa has 5 games in hand).

The Ducks desperately need to draft yet another game-breaking forward. The performance of Zegras and Terry this year has been concerning. Are these guys you can rely on?

Mctavish and Carlsson wouldn’t be enough when you have zero complementary scorers (assuming Leo hits big which I think he will).

Ducks might need to let go one of lacombe or zellweger or launue to bring in established wingers.

Tryna get away, man
Think we’ll bounce back, but it’s looking like another top 10ish pick even if. Don’t want to resign myself to watching top prospects again this early. I won’t be on the tank this year- all I hope is they work through these brutal tough patches and keep getting better.

But Carlsson-Helenius though, bring the fins and the swedes together

Long time since the Ducks had a Finnish RW. If Silayev is the BPA at their spot, they could then package up Drysdale and LaCombe for a forward but I doubt they'd get fair value for Drysdale.
If Demigod drops to #6 then I'd pick him, isn't overly small like Mitchkov.

This is a defender draft. Lots of good D choices like in Mintyukov's draft so it makes sense to grab another big elite D while they are available to us. We can always trade in or FA a winger and we are set at C.

I do agree, but there is some forwards I’d love to get if they are there for our pick.

Eiserman lindstrom or brandsegg-nygarr, def on my want list.

Eiserman is the best forward in the draft for my money.

MBN / lindstrom will be nice compliment pieces, I do think where they will be drafted there are dmen that will be better…. But I think it’s close enough that you could go org needs
