Halstenburg seems to be on his way to Hannover

Benfica are reportedly considering a bid for RBL's Andre Silva; who hasn't been as successful for them as he was SGE and will have tougher competition with Sesko already joining them this summer...and other strikers being linked.

Demirbay is reportedly a target for Napoli.

Finn Dahmen will be leaving Mainz this summer, Schalke & Augsburg are the favorites.

Gladbach are giving us some competition for Kral after the reports of Breithaupt opting for Augsburg.

Vlahovic to Bayern rumors are circulating again.

Klopp is loyal to his guys here. Rightly or wrongly, they also thought one of Elliott, Jones or Keita was gonna kick on.
I think this Liverpool line-up has exhausted itself. We need new breathing room for the team, reshuffles and of course successful transfers. We may have to find some good sponsors. Those are the rules of the game. Man City are proof of that.

Any thoughts on Gundo...?

Obviously, it has, and they're going to fix it this summer. But if Jones / Keita had been more fit, it might be a different discussion. The problem was all of the issues hit at once, and Fabinho fell off the face of the earth. Virgil has been poor for a lot of this season.

Just out of curiosity, how many games did Alison not start this season? I don't personally remember any but I wasn't always paying attention, especially for various cup games
Alisson started every PL game which I think is the first time in his LFC career that has happened? Could be wrong on that though. Kelleher usually plays every Carabao Cup game and some FA Cup games but LFC went out of both those comps pretty early so he didn’t get a lot of burn. But again Alisson has been know to pick up an injury so I’m not selling Kelleher. They can let Adrian walk on a free and sign another homegrown keeper, then let Kelleher leave next season maybe.

Kounde doesn't want to play RB next year, it clearly shows with his play. He's asked Xavi to play only CB. This has led to rumours that Kounde wants out or at least is willing to listen to offers. Barca want 80-90 million. Id rather he stays but if Manchester squared want to pony up 120M. Id take and chase Timber and Martinez the RB.

Lisandro-Kounde might be the smallest CB pairing in the world. That includes U14 too

Timber isnt much taller and ETH would love to have that pairing.
He’s actually shorter than Kounde

Don’t get me wrong I’d be totally fine with Lisandro and Kounde or Timber as our pairing. For all the talk about Lisandro being short to start the season, he was one of the best CBs in the league last year. I wouldn’t spend 80-90M on Kounde though. He’s damn good but I think you can find similar(ish) players for less than that. Not as proven and probably not quite the same level but same qualities with potential to be same level.

I dont blame you as I said Timber is right there for the taking and should cost around 60. But you misunderstood IM not asking you to pay 80-90 million for Kounde. Im telling you I want 120M. :P

Gundo's a great get for Arsenal. Not as physical as Xhaka but quicker, smarter, and more technical.

First and foremost, this is only about him playing RB. He’s not going to leave over that and the other rumors swirling are about bring in a RB with Cancelo now getting the most smoke. Second, I wouldn’t say it shows in his play. He’s done really well there. Third, 80-90 million would be incredibly stupid. Even 120 isn’t a position to start negotiating from. He has four more years on his contract. I’d start, maybe, at 150 million and wouldn’t take a penny less than 125 million unless top players are involved.

Still think Gundogan ends up with us.
I still think his wages keep that from happening, and I’m fine with that.

Kounde, obviously. He’s clearly one of the top CBs out there and as I’ve said, not a single CB pairing in the game right now that I‘d take over Kounde and Araujo. All of of that aside, if you‘re starting negotiating at 80-90 million then I don’t want you running my club much less my retirement portfolio. That’s just stupidity. I won’t comment on VVD since I don’t have the time reply to five people all day.

Kounde, who is basically Thiago Silva as long as he's with Barca, and the instant he leaves he turns into Maguire :sarcasm:

Haha, but if you or anyone else here wants to provide examples of players that I have done that with just because they played for Barca go right ahead. My take on Raphinha recently demonstrates you won’t find much if anything. Besides, that’s your territory more than it is mine, though you just take half a decade to realize you’ve got a handful of Herr Maguire’s on your hands. :sarcasm:

We have three matches left in the league season and have thus far only let in 15 goals. Kounde is a starter in that defense and a notable reason why that is the case, though it’s a group effort and the back line has been bolstered considerably this season. Also, as I said, he has four years left on his contract. We paid 50 million for him, which was below market value. We also will need a replacement. So we should be asking for 80 million? 90 million? From City? From United? Again, that’d just be stupid. De Ligt went for 85 to Juventus and Bayern still paid 67 for him last year. So, why offer a discount when a replacement, assuming you can even find one, is going to cost notably more?

Anyway, as I already said, he’s not leaving over playing RB.

I'd say his play slipped after the WC as a RB. But Im higher on him then most on here. He's better than VVD, I have time today. :)

Well plenty of players slipped after the WC, and many of those didn’t make the Final. The top two young talents on this forum saw their numbers essentially fall off a cliff though I didn’t see anyone post about it.
