Yeah, that was unexpected given how strong the forwards and centers in particular are in this draft. Was not expecting 8 D men to be drafted in round 1.

Yes. Michkov is an incredible talent, he is a special player. Internationally him and Bedard were so far ahead of their peers.

That one was a head scratcher. I like Carlsson and think he’s a good player but Fantilli seemed like a no brainer to me especially after how well he played at the Worlds and dominated the NCAA.

What did you think of the Price freeze? It's not an easy name to pronounce so...

The draft coverage on ESPN is cringe. They said the 21st pick “free falled”. People have “turned on” the 24th pick. They said one kid maybe “is what he is” because he has a beard. The coverage team has zero tact and seems to think anyone that anyone that isn’t a top 10 pick kinda sucks, without realizing that going in the first round makes a player a really good prospect lol.

Yeah, that was a bit of a head scratcher. Not a knock on Reinbacher but with Michkov sitting there I don’t know how you pass on him.

I know you follow international hockey closely like myself so you’ve had a decent number of viewings of Michkov and he always has looked like a sure firer NHLer.

His numbers in the KHL are outstanding as well to finish the year.
