The Athletic has McTavish as one of it's 10 best breakout candidates for this season. They're on my wavelength!

Its crazy to me how many hockey players unironically LOVE Nickleback. I was under the impression the whole world has been making fun of them since like 2001.

Edit: Nickleback is from Canada. Its all they have, so they try to convince the rest of the world they are the best. Sounds about right

I think they are largely successful and selling a lot of stuff. So there are a lot of fans of them, but they became sort of like a meme yeah

I mean they sell out arenas regularly, or at least they did pre covid.

They're like party rock music you don't have to think about. Yes I'm Canadian. No I don't like them.

Here's a THW (The Hockey Writers) Season Preview. All three are hooked on the Ducks' youths and prospects. Unfortunately, one of them watched the Dev camp, but not the rookie tourney because he might have a totally different take. Prospect LaCombe gets his name called out, but feels more of a token name drop because he's not mentioned for anything else, including making the NHL club. High praises for Drysdale's return and scoring. I dunno if Drysdale will ever surpass Fowler in scoring next year.

Yeah, they don't know the Ducks' all that well since they're more focused on prospects and youths. THW has an extensive scouting profile on many prospects before each draft, and usually my go-to for looking up info before and after the draft (trying to know who we drafted).

Gudas has a full NTC in year one of the contract, a 16 team no-trade list in year 2, and a 10 team no-trade list in year 3, his final year of the contract, as per capfriendly.

Interesting that they think Zellweger's the D with the inside track to make the NHL roster. Not sure I agree with that.

It seems like all the prospect scouting media people got the same info to share that Zellweger is a prime candidate to play with the NHL club this year in their season previews. Odd that they didn't ask Pronman, who watched the Vegas venue, since they work for the same company.
