Came here to find opinions on Zellweger and you certainly provided. It's my turn to pick with the 9th pick in our keeper league. The obivous picks are made (Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Hughes, Levi, Schmid, Knies) I'm in win now mode and I thought about Zellweger but the concensus seems to be he needs some time yet and will at least start in the AHL? Tonights pre-season game doesn't change anything?

I personally think the only way he makes the team is if Drysdale doesn’t sign before the season starts. And even then, I would guess that he still wouldn’t make it. Not because he wouldn’t help the team, but moreseo because we are in no rush and our GM has openly said he prefers to overcook prospects.

Regarding your draft, my top choices for you would be Cooley or Clarke if they are available.

Many thanks. Not Zells now then but a more sober pick unfortunately.

Your tips are owned since last year already. 14 team 20 player keeper league so we're down to the sleeper picks already. Didn't want to fill your Ducks-thread with too much context about my fantasy league :)

Rounding out the bottom 5 under Tier 6 (listed as "problematic,") as you'd expect:

Lacombe is a lock to make it..

LaCombe has certainly improved his chances of making the big club with his poise play in the rookie tourney and first game of pre-season. With a lot of roster cuts already done and five more pre-season games to go, LaCombe will be competing against the veterans (Vaaks, Hagg, and White) along with Zell and Minty.

I actually like what i saw from Warren in the first period of last night's game. I didn't see the 2nd or 3rd.

He was physical but never got out of position and made decent plays with the puck. Was not a liability and good in his own zone. I wouldn't mind him on the 3rd pairing with Minty or Zelwegger.

Might be an overreaction but the team playing hard ball with Zegras and drysdale still is absolutely stupid. I haven’t been super impressed with Pat and this summer has not given me much to like about him as a gm. Zegras has been the most marketable player we’ve had in years and Pat is doing everything possible to drive him out of town.

Would be interesting to see how things would be with Murray in an alternate universe. Bob got rid of guys like Wiz and Palms because he thought their demands wouldn’t be reasonable lol, I actually think things would be quite similar here

Historically Murray only really moved guys with arbitration rights, the other RFAs he merely brought the hammer down.

The palmieri thing has been discussed ad nauseum and it's been agreed that he wasn't moved for salary concerns, but because he shit his pants in the playoffs for the last time. The salary stuff was BS lip service.
