What blows is that we are tied for last place and not 10+ points behind Chicago. How depressing to have two 10+ game losing streaks so far 60% through the season and yet we are tied for last place… this blows.
We need this run to help reestablish Hoffman, Duclair and Barabanov's trade values. Meanwhile Chicago is busy re-signing all of their free agents. As long as we keep pace with the Blackhawks until the trade deadline we will easily finish last. What blows is that we are tied for last place and not 10+ points behind Chicago.
The 5 forward PP looked almost good with Couture on it. Should be solid getting Granlund added to itHopefully Bedard gets back soon and helps them out because I do think when Granlund comes back, our offense suddenly looks okay.
This potential ascension to mediocrity is troubling.Hopefully Bedard gets back soon and helps them out because I do think when Granlund comes back, our offense suddenly looks okay.
Don’t worry the dead line sell off is coming, there will be no uprising to mediocrityThis potential ascension to mediocrity is troubling.
Yeah, realistically these returns are not going to be good...especially with only one retention slot available. With how bad Hoff and Duke look the return on them might be a 7th just to give them away. Barbie might be the Sharks best bet at a decent return and that's if him.and Cooch can work some magic.
Or if someone is desperate enough, one of the goalies might bring a nice return.
We ain't getting anything but worse....... in theoryYeah, I’m really not counting on a particularly dramatic or exciting trade deadline. The best piece we have is a goalie. I think we’ll pick up some 3rd rounders/underperforming prospects at best.
So this is like a dead cat bounce?Don’t worry the dead line sell off is coming, there will be no uprising to mediocrity
The way I get around this is to be excited about the worst possible pick you could get.Even if we finish last, a 25% shot at Celebrini is only setting us up for disappointment. In some ways, I'd rather be 2nd or 3rd and basically not expect #1 overall and maybe be surprised. Rather than be highly disappointed we are picking #2 or #3.
idk my gut says its gonna be David Carle from DenverI don`t know where to post it, but Igor Larionov is such a great person and coach.
Fans, media, players in KHL - all like him. He definitely can work with young players, he is like father for them. His team is like Cinderella. Torpedo hasn`t money or something but this team plays well and their hockey is very attractive.
I would be happy if Sharks hire him for some position.
EDIT: He is one of the reasons for Silayev’s progress

For example, I want to finish last so that we have the choice of everyone still available at 3OA. I do not expect Celebrini at all, but I'd rather pick 3 than 4. I want Grier to have his choice of the big D prospects (except for whoever goes 2nd).
