So spend $6M of the $7M in cap space that we have to sign 6 players, on one player?Sign Bertuzzi for top 6
7 millions cap Space if Landeskog is not on IRCCSo spend $6M of the $7M in cap space that we have to sign 6 players, on one player?
That's a great strategy for sure!
With Landy on LTIR the Avs have roughly 15.5m… Byram and Colton are likely around 8m combined. Leaving 7.5 for the whole rest of the roster. Bert would require moving out salary.7 millions cap Space of Landeskog is not on IRCC
Ok… seems like a weird thing to pick apart in the post. Perhaps I mis-stated how « big » the possibility is. That has very little to do with my response to the other poster.Just because a few posters bang a drum for Drouin relentlessly does not make it a "fact" or "big possibility" as you've stated above.
Trade G for cap space.
I still do not quite get the Drouin love other than he played well with Nate a long time ago. I feel like Malgin could do the same thing….had good chemistry with Val. Not saying I would want to but it seems comparable. What am I missing on Drouin?

That would be a very Avs move. We do seem to love players that live on IR.I think Avs will land MaxPac

In the land of the bandaids the LTIR pickup is kingWe really need to stop with prefix "if healthy" and start adding some guys who are durable.
Not exactly the guy I would target. Two Achilles injuries in less than a year? No thank you. I'd rather sign Pat Kane or Tarasenko. Last 3 years he's played 48, 39, and 5 games. The veteran winger arrived in Carolina last July when the Vegas Golden Knights traded him and defenseman Dylan Coghlan to the Hurricanes for future consideration (a.k.a. nothing). Unfortunately, he suffered a torn Achilles mere weeks into his Hurricanes tenure. Then on January 19, he suffered a second torn Achilles just two weeks after making his Hurricanes debut.
