Value of: Kirby Dach

He’s been trash this season other than about a 10 game stretch. Should’ve been eating popcorn in the press box but can’t hurt his feelers ruining his confidence. He’s probably an average 3RW at this point so that’s a 2nd at best but more likely a flip for a similar project - Kaako would’ve been a decent target maybe. before he was dealt

Yep, Maxime Truman and JT Utah are certainly two guys you have to take seriously, when it comes to having informations regarding the Habs.
That is the biggest problem in this tread. OP is leaning on "information" that was shared by two clowns known to start shit rumors.

I actually highly doubt that he's on the market. he's not untouchable, but I dont think MTL is pro-actively trying to trade him. This season has shown that he's not a C, but there are many other role that he could fill and with such a decent cap hit, it is worth trying him into these role before sending him to the moon.

You're entitled to your opinion about these two "clowns".

But I've been following them for a long time and they had scoops that ended up to be true in more than a few occasions.

They're both well connected when it comes to the Habs.

He’s got a lot of talent, but made of glass. My guess is that he’s playing very cautiously to avoid injury, but I haven’t watched him much this season.
Unfortunately that was the case for the first 35 games. We could see glimpses of speed, smooth hands and vision but most of the time we saw a player that was hesitant, rushed plays and avoiding dirty areas and possibly getting injured.

What was great from Dach in his first year and training camp last year is he was not afraid to use his speed and cut down the middle and make a play. We have seen this version of him maybe 4 or 5 times this year and it resulted in grade A scoring chances or goals.

It sounds like he might be available.

Tense meeting with Dach and Habs Management
He has no value whatsoever.

As with Newhook, he was another immediately obvious to the fanbase, and now confirmed, failure of a reboot-jumpstarting reclamation project. I hate being proven right about both of the wastes of assets and cap space, however minimal.

Dachs got little to no value
2nd has little value specially in a draft that is seeen as weak
Mailloux aint a conversation starter for clarke

Try again
I think that the joke has gone over your head.

His value is probably too low to trade him. But unlike newhook he still has some future with this team, I'd give him a full year after his injury return season to better assess him. If he still underwhelming then its time to more seriously dump him or convert him to a full time 3c, a position I don't think he would excel at all given his style.

I guess we'll see
Newhook has been the much better player for the last month+. He might be the one that is around longer term.

It's not really an All Time Low if you're the same mediocre disappointment that you have been for four out of the five years of your career, but OK.

Well at least before the present season there was still hopes he could put it all together.
He produced at a 50-60 pts pace his two previous seasons (not even a full season, in reality) with the Habs...

Now he's 24 and showing no signs of improvement.

Yet he's showing signs he might not find a real niche in the NHL.
Because as of now, he doesn't have what it takes to be a top 6 forward nor have shown he has what it takes to be an effective role player.

He's actually worst than useless, he's a liability..

Is Dach a depressed value asset?

He looks depressed yes.😏

It's my sole opinion here, but I think his size, position, draft pedigree, injury history (that might be an explanation for his poor development curve to some GM) and relative youth will make him having a (little) value, still.

So no negative value for him, I think.

Thanks. I see a guy who has all the tools, including size and aggression, to be a really good 3C. Nothing wrong with that. I guess, like you point out, the expectation is he could have been a 2C.
