This is what happens to NHL teams when they are unable to build multi goal leads. You’re left trying to decide the one player to blame because you put yourself in the position where one play can f*** you.
Buyout Edler, waive Walker, trade Roy for physical LHDDurzi and Roy is like ziegfried and roy - a circus.. Blake better start thinking harder about how to clean this up. Buyout Edler, waive Walker, trade for LHD.. get McNabb or Soucy someone that can hit and add some nasty yet responsible D
Usually, Durzi is one of my least favorite players on the Kings, but he really was not the worst D on the team last night. The only thing I can come up with is that Durzi saw Moore at the blueline alone, unguarded and thought he had an easy stretch pass for a last chance shot.
get rid of Roy and Walker.Tough game, but that's is Sean Durzi's game in a nutshell at least going back to Ontario. Dumpster fire in his own end, really good in the offensive zone. He's just as likely to have a 3pt game as he is to be a -3.
Personally I like what he brings so long as he plays limited minutes. Much rather get rid of Roy or Walker.

What? Many games are won by just one goal, its very important to know how to protect lead. At least if you want to win championships, finals are often solely protecting and playing defence. This is what happens to NHL teams when they are unable to build multi goal leads. Nope, Vegas didn't build a 3+ goal lead because Quick stood on his head. The Kings will not be successful fending off 50+ shots on goal and 10 barely missed the corner shots a night to keep it close. So exactly what Vegas did in the game.
The Vets (of the defense)should be looking over their collective shoulders at oncoming BullsAs much as I wanted Clarke to play I didn't expect the D to go full stupid
Except for that beer-league pass that cost the game? Sure, pure Doughty. The only D that played pretty well was Durzi. He looked like a young Doughty.

That's a lot of shots against unless ur the Oilers of f'loreYou don't try a stretch pass with 25 secs left against a team that can counter-attack with speed. Also, you are not gonna win games giving up 50 shots!
What you want to trade himExcept for that beer-league pass that cost the game? Sure, pure Doughty.
Ha, no. But I'm sure the hell not comparing him to Doughty nor am I claiming he looked great last night when he singlehandedly cost us the game. I think TM was quoted with saying... "stupid"What you want to trade him

Defense wasn't moving their feet and and the Kings were manhandled physically all night. Once Vegas was in the Kings zone all I could hear in my head was Yackety Sax playing while they desperately tried to get possession and clear. And when they did the forwards flew the zone as if somebody yelled FIRE!
The game was close because of Quick, but overall it didn't pass the eye test. Vegas looked bigger, faster, more talented and was clearly a much better team last night.
I see where the defense is going to be Clarke,Anderson,Bjornfot,Spence,Durzi,Grans and a masher, basher. Anyone see Kirsanov playIt's one game but that defence was comical.
Roy was the biggest disappointment of the night for me. He was wearing a gold shirt last night. Nice tape to tape passes to the opposition in our zone.
Edler is done and should be the #7D man for moral support but we have no choice but to play him.
Durzi needs reduced 5-5 minutes and get overloaded on PP time. Needs to get back to the right side and not over complicate a play in the D zone.
Walker\Doughty need some more games to get back up to speed. The both looked like Edler out there.
When things settle down, I would like to see:
Walker Doughty
Andersson Roy
Edler Durzi\Clarke
More of this and there be some changing of name platesI was on desktop sharing session w/a co-worker and I had to show him the last minute because I was explaining how idiotic that whole sequence was. It's even worse watching it again. Vegas was basically just sitting back allowing this game to go to OT. Zero pressure on the puck. Danault circles back to give Durzi an option and so does Arvidsson, Durzi ignores both and gets possessed by Brett Favre and attempts the almost 3 line pass. It gets picked. Danault comes back and picks up Howden and is in position to tie him up, but Durzi decides that he needs a double team instead of marking Stone. That leaves Roy, who was dogshit all game having to choose between Stephenson and Stone and he ultimately doesn't commit to either and bang it's a goal.
It's truly one of the worst singular sequences of events I've seen by one player. Like, there are worse moments of a player overcommitting, or losing a guy. But a collection of decisions and actions amid similar circumstances? Can't think of any.I was on desktop sharing session w/a co-worker and I had to show him the last minute because I was explaining how idiotic that whole sequence was. Hey now.
