Developing a "search committee" all just to coincidentally land on the son of the franchise's legendary coach would be disheartening.

It's all performative to justify and mask the cronyarchy. They think they're smart and nobody will notice. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Provorov is a disappointment but not a bust. His return should be good; not great. Former early first round pick with some good years on his resume. The downside, as we know, are a few mediocre seasons to go along with a questionable attitude. There will be a club that will focus on his positive aspects and think that they can get him back on track.

I think it was Charlie awhile back saying Provorov needs to go to a place that has an established #1 not just for on ice reasons but also to show him a clear hierarchy in hopes it will humble him.

Not sure where to put this but this interview with Dan H pretty much confirms that things will be the same shit with different suits:

None of his answers give any reason to be hopeful of this franchise turning things around anytime soon.
