Nice article on Lycksell by Giana Han in today's Inky ( Six years later, Olle Lycksell showing some returns on the Flyers’ investment in him ) In it Flahr is once again talking about SIZE. When Lyscksell was drafted he was eighteen years old and 5'10': 165#. Two seasons later at twenty, he was 6'; 195#. Fat Flahr praised Ollie's hard work and dedication for the change. It's not like Mother Nature and aging had anything to do with it. "Hard work" made him grow two inches? The guy just matured. Most eighteen year olds add fifteen to twenty pounds by the time that they're twenty.
IDK who in the organization ticks me off the most but it could be Flahr. His constant chatter about SIZE is ridiculous. Has the word skill never entered his pea brain? I yearn for the day that Fletcher is gone and can take this pet troll along with him.

Hey @Captain Dave Poulin got a favor to ask. If you're still doing the Photoshop stuff, how about one for Uncle Buck, but call it Uncle Chuck with Schmuck as John Candy, Nature Boy as the girlfriend, and Briere, Konecny, Frost, Tippett and Hart as the family?

I will take this under advisement and see if I ever have the energy for it.

even tho we have the toughest schedule of the bottom feeders (according to tankathon), Almost every team below us have more expiring assets to sell and aid their tank. Need to trade jvr asap

Meanwhile…

Montreal has caufield out and a few fwds they can sell
All signs have sj trading Meier and maybe even EK
Arizona trading ghost, bjugstad
Ducks with klingberg and maybe henrique if they retain
Chicago-toews, Kane, mccabe

Tank schedule:
Flyers play Montreal twice, these are must lose as they are only 4 pts behind with a game in hand.
Then Chicago and cbj once—not going to catch them
Every other game is against a playoff team or playoff contender

Not surprising but on the recent BSH podcast Charlie essentially said Scott doesn’t want to fire Fletcher but won’t commit to him either so they’re essentially straddling the line waiting for the decision to make itself. He echoed similar thoughts with ASF that the new CEO is a nothing burger in regards to the hockey ops side of the team.

He’s taking a flame torch to the Flyers for dragging their feet with Seeler & overvaluing him.

I’m not a smart man but… that decision was made itself a couple of years ago. Guess we’re waiting for Roberts to step in and fire him like Scott went over Fletcher’s head to fire AV.

Holding onto Seeler is the ultimate signal that this team isn’t rebuilding. Everyone should be on the block.

He wasn’t saying it in defense of them. He said in his opinion Fletcher should be gone. It just shows there’s no sense of direction within this team. He said he’d disagree with it but at least put yourself out even it is publicly claiming Fletcher is your guy. But Scott just wants to hide instead & do nothing.

Charlie is painting a picture that the idea of guys like Clarke, Homer, etc. are apart of them problem isn’t foreign to Comcast. However Comcast doesn’t think they could sell a departure of those guys to fans/media so it’s not really on the table at this point. So they’re essentially hoping these guys figure it out.

Comcast should fire everyone and if the old school morons don’t like it they should say get over it. But they won’t because incompetence isn’t just with the front office. The people making hockey decisions in ownership really have zero clue.
Which is why Comcast needs to sell the team to someone who gives a f*** and stops living in the past

There isn't a more gutless organization in sports. Those guys aren't that popular. The average fan wants a managerial bloodbath.

He said/illustrated that blind hope is essentially the thought process amongst everyone in that organization. From the people making the hockey decisions to the people making the decisions to keep them employed still too.

The changes that are needed aren't happening anytime soon. And they need to do a lot more than just fire Fletcher and Flahr, though that is desperately needed. Otherwise they'll just hire another Fletcher and Flahr.

People like winning. That’s the long and short of it. Most biases die with wins. The Process Sixers took shit from everywhere, including a segment of their fanbase, and do you know what? When they started winning games, everyone f***ing showed up.

The problem with the Flyers is they’re the RadioShack of NHL teams. And dammit, by hook or by crook, they’re going to sell those radios.

RadioShack still has cool things and have been working to try and keep up with the times.

The Flyers are the strange tiny five foot wide storefront in the mall between RadioShack and Hallmark that sells shoelaces, TV Guides, and Werther's-tier candy.

Until Clarke is retired or dead, nothing will change with this team. It pains me to say this as he was my favorite player growing up, but he’s become just another bitter old man who thinks everything was better back in his day.

If Clarke retired tomorrow, Fletcher would be fired within days. Scott is intimidated by Clarke and the rest of the advisors are beholden to him for their current positions. Its truly depressing.

Well. Honestly, looking at how this fanbase rejoices after trading away "weak captain" Giroux and how it celebrates "omg hitz Ristolainen / omg fights Deslauriers", I can sort of understand how a CEO can be intimidated by I guess Flyers history icon, err how these f***heads would react... f*** this
