I doubt it.
IDK. Comcast isn’t in the business of losing money or depreciating the value of its assets. The sad state of the franchise can’t be hidden. Roberts will quietly reshuffle the cards to protect its interests.
Often corporations choose to prop up a guy until they retire rather than fire them when they’re close to retirement (Scott?) Hilferty and Camillo are the next generation of Comcast/Spectacor leadership. We’ll just have to wait to see how it all plays out but Fletcher is probably sitting on cracking ice right now.

When it comes to the Flyers, they obviously are in the business of sinking value.

This is probably the first season the Flyers truly took a big hit in lost money with STH cancelling out from the previous season. They’re probably not at that DEFCON stage just yet. It’s not some surprise to them that the STH sales sucked this year & very likely will again next year but two years from now there’s probably some grey where they’re foolishly hoping things could be changed & they can break people back in. Charlie pretty much said they don’t have plans of cleaning house with their FO at this point.

Well if Charlie doesn’t have plans for a house cleaning then that’s further proof that he needs to be cleaned out ASAP. His product is the worst in franchise history.

The last thing we want is a poll of the season ticket holders to decide what this franchise does. That would be a disaster.

I wouldn’t even want a vote of people on this board to be used to guide the team on what they should do.
If this organization was ran according to a fan poll, literally nothing would change.

It’d be even worse.

The majority of this fanbase would have done things even Fletcher wasn’t stupid enough to do. Things like trading Sanheim, TK, and Frost, signing JG to a huge contract, trading JVR plus our 1st to open up cap space, and tons of other similarly stupid shit I’ve seen suggested over and over and over.

Couturier should be their absolute favorite player and they've spent his whole career slagging him and wanting him traded.

What they really want is nothing but Deslauriers.

You’d think they would be going for Bedard. This season has Ellis, Couts, Atkinson all out and Cates as your 1C. If tanking to be a contender makes them think they will lose fans, tanking for one year to get a superstar should still be a no brainer given the above.

I’m enjoying the excellent coaching job Dave Hakstol is doing in Seattle.

Another board scapegoat unfairly crucified.

Acknowledgment? No. Just move on to the next victim.

Awesome! Tell me, what are you enjoying about Hakstol's coaching in Seattle? What's he doing there, exactly?

@Ghosts Beer, I think my question to you might have gotten lost in the shuffle and I want to make sure you have every opportunity to answer it. I'm eager to learn from you and frankly still disappointed that you never got around to sharing those videos highlighting Brink's defensive issues with me.

What's got you excited about Hak's coaching in Seattle? Please feel free to break down his systems and how he's utilizing his players. As I said, I'm eager to learn.

Thing is, if a shakeup is dictated from above, no one in the Flyers' organization (media sources) might have a clue until it happens. That is, if Roberts decides it's a mess and needs to be cleaned up, he's unlikely to turn to the people who created the mess.

According to Crossing Broad, Hilferty was brought in so that Scott and Camillo can focus on improving the on ice product of the Flyers. Hilferty will deal mostly with the business side of things. This restructure looks like more will be coming in the near future. Camillo has no ties to the Fletcher regime and Scott has made public statements that have not aligned with Fletcher’s view and aim for the organization. It is worth noting that hiring of both Hilferty and Camillo came out of nowhere. Roberts doesn’t top his hand before he makes changes.
If TPTB decide to clean house after another failed season, and it should, it probably will be one quick huge move with Fletcher/Flahr & Co. going along with their advisors. Then another GM put in place along with that person’s leadership team. That sort of move would be hard to do in season. Most likely between the end of the year and the draft.

And Provorov has never been benched in his entire career.

Provy was worse today than Sanheim was in Vancouver.

Keith Yandle on a SN show right now and they are picking who gets traded.

His 1st pick was Hayes...."what they did to him by scratching him"...

Dooffus

Now just picked Sanheim to be traded. So he chose 2 Flyers out of his 3 picks.

99.99 -% Hayes can’t be traded.
