There is no way the Flyers are rebuilding and even less way that Cuck has the slightest conception of how to rebuild, or even build, a successful NHL team.

Rebuilding teams don't:
Use 3 draft picks to acquire TDA
Sign an aging goon to a 4 year deal at an aav of 1.75 million
extend a Dman who could have possibly brought them a #1 pick at the deadline to an 8 year deal
re-sign a garbage player like Risto to a long term deal instead of moving him at last year's deadline.
Hire an aging, overrated coach and give him a 4 year deal

Rebuilding teams do:
accumulate as many draft picks as possible
stay well beneath the cap ceiling so that they can, if they choose, pick up a cap dump or 2 to add more picks
get guys like Lacyzinski and Zamula in the lineup every night
get kids that are playing well in the AHL like York and Lycksell into their NHL lineup
hire coaches with a proven track record of developing youth and who have a grasp on how the NHL game is played in 2022

The Flyers, by their own undeniable actions, are the polar opposite of a rebuilding team.

What would be a sign mid-season? Force feeding prospects? Benching high salaried veterans and ruining any prospect of dumping them without giving away assets?

Actions that promote rebuilding should be long-term in nature, contributing to the team 3-5 years from now, not placating fans' desire to "do something, anything." There is no evidence that the AHL hurts player development, many top prospects on other teams have spend a year or so in the AHL without harm.

And there is a critical mass of "inexperience" beyond which playing more young players may hurt development as the "blind leading the blind" results in numerous mistakes and player frustration. It is smarter to build structure with veterans, then gradually work in prospects over a couple years, sheltering them until they're ready for a heavier workload.

So basically, Fletcher has failed disastrously and left the team in a near league-worst situation.

Thanks, but we already know that. We've been predicting it as it unfolded for years now. Turns out all that stuff that doesn't matter really matters.

Until recently, both Anaheim and Chicago thought they were competitive teams and Arizona only has vets in its lineup because they need to reach the cap floor and they acquired some cap dumps to accumulate picks (something you can't do when your idiot GM has your team cap strapped)

Your attempts to justify Cuck's actions are really getting more and more pathetic each and every day.
Well, doesn't that apply here? Rebuilding teams are teams that thought they were competitive until reality smacks them across the face.
And when it does, it takes a few years to cycle through those veterans.

As far as Laczynski, he's 25 years old, he's yet to show that he's anything more than a 4th line player. He doesn't look 100% after those two hip surgeries. He's not a key element of a rebuild, so far, MacEwen at 26 has shown he's a better 4th line forward, which ain't saying much. But they're looking at all of them, Willman (27) as well.

Eventually I expect they'll all be gone, replaced by Lycksell (23), Foerster (20), Desnoyers (20), Wisdom (20), Gauthier (18).

It's not the past tense here. Fletcher still thinks they're competitive.

If I had a dollar for every time you named kids that would soon be replacing our trash players, I could buy the Flyers. Conversely, if I had a dollar for every time a kid actually did replace one of our trash players, I’d need a loan to shop at the Dollar store.

Well, given how he struggled his last game, Colorado is probably not the ideal team for Zamula.
There's simply no reason to force feed him, it's a long season, he'll get his chance, as will others.

In a typical rebuild, you work in 3-4 young starters a year, and give others cameos to see how they're progressing.
After three years 9-10 starters are young players you've been developing, since maybe 3 are top ten draft picks, the other 6 are likely to be marinated for a year or two in the AHL (i.e., they're not talented to jump from the CHL to the NHL).

If you really want to embrace the concept of rebuilding, it starts with patience.

Take note of the specific wording here.

He isn't keeping Zamula out for his developments sake; to give him a rest or protect him or help him work on anything. He's doing it to try to win now.

Meaning, he thinks that Ristolainen/Seeler/Braun give the team the best chance to win. That's horrifying.
Why do you think we’re laughing so hard?

Maybe he's talking about winning the Draft Lottery?

Trying to win now in a season they have 0 chance at the Playoffs with Connor Bedard and Adam Fantilli coming out of the Draft...and he has a 4 year contract so he'd have an opportunity to coach either one of them.

He might be more dense than Fletcher.

There's like 4 different things to laugh at in that single tweet.

So densely packed with stupidity.

I think he's horrified of them winning the draft lottery. The last thing Torts wants is a highly skilled and undersized forward.

Flahr the Hutt is already salivating (even more than usual) over all the ways he’s gonna cram lard and glucose down Bedard’s skinny gullet.
