I’m in favour of signing almost anybody that improves the team, as long as it is a 4 year term max, shorter obviously being better.

This might kick Vilardi to Kopi’s wing, which would be pretty cool.

Not for a one-year deal though. I'm sure the hang up has been the Kings not trusting him with even a two year deal so they bump him up in salary for a one year. I imagine he gets to be a UFA next season and try to cash in then? Win/Win for a guy that the Kings have kind of been lukewarm on.

Bringing him back is quite possibly Blake waiving the white flag on adding another Top 6 winger this off season.

Danault is elite defensively and underrated offensively. He's a playdriver, but doesn't play the power play or have a high shooting % (so he'll fit in!)

AA wasn't plan A,B or C.His signing has no barring on signing a top 6 fwd.

The money doesn't but even bringing him back seems like an emergency option much like last year.

Not criticizing Blake for doing it so he isn't completely empty handed but there is a good chance he isn't back this year if Blake had already been able to swing a trade or was confident about signing someone.

I agree that he would be a asset to the team.But to thoses taking a break on Frontnite, don't care.

I don't expect them to sign anyone good with where they are at in the rebuild. Players prefer the East or teams with no taxes. Hopefully Blake is pounding the phones trying to put a trade together.
