Not every player dies at 34 years old. I'd also say with how teams like TB and others have just been able to shed problem contracts that worrying about six years is a little overblown.

I'm not a big nerd stat guy but Danault has them in spades. Lot of centers in the system. Sure. Are any of them Selke caliber while also putting up 40-50 points at even strength? It is a mindset thing too, having a guy that plays like that. You can't shutdown star players without playing hard and a lack of playing hard is an issue with this team for awhile now.

It's not just the raw numbers: it would be an investment in the development of the prospects. Getting a guy like Arvidsson is a similar move.

I love to piss on Blake every time it is warranted. A big complaint about him, even from those that are not big time haters, is a lack of vision. To me, an off-season that sees him bring in Danault and Arvidsson on the heels of an efficient, targeted draft leads to the start of being able to see something here. Compete level is lacking and it would appear he recognizes that.

The guy is 28,no need to trade him to a contending team.Kings don't need more picks or propects, they need established players.
I was trying to get at that hopefully we would be the cup contender and he would be our depth forward lol.

But he could always be a piece for a bigger trade if we needed it. I just don't see a huge downside for 4 years of him on this team at a decent number. Would I rather have someone else that could score more? yes, but I don't see that happening without overpaying in a trade.

I still would like the Tarasenko trade to happen

Checks all the boxes for me as a low risk add that only serves to help on the backend and allow DD to have a solid partner

I also wonder if with the picks they have given up, and the guys they have brought in if Logan Stanley can be brought in from the Jets. I highly doubt it though as I think they are really big on him.

They like him alot, he's certainly part of the defense setup going forward. More likely Heinola is down to start the year and Niku is traded or waived. Beaulieu likely stays as the #7 who can add some toughness to the lineup depending on matchup.

Wouldnt mind the Stanley kid at all, think Winnipeg holds tight to him for a bit.

Murray - Doughty
Anderson - Roy
Bjornfot - Walker

Looks solid to me. Patience in acquiring a stud at the right time could be key.

Everyone is getting players but us.

We are like the fat kid sulking in a corner at an orgy

I just don’t think LA is in on him.

They might not be serious but Blake has had to have talked to Adams. If I'm Adams, I'm obviously looking at the following:

- Pretty much as far west as he can be sent
- Kings have a plethora of prospects: especially at center which is the position they are vacating with Eichel leaving
- Kings have the cap space
- Kings have some decent young-to-youngish defenseman in Bjornfot/Anderson/Roy/Walker that can step in right away on their blue line.

It could all be too rich for Blake, not the right time in his mind or he could just be out on the player but I think there have been discussions.

I wonder if a potential Eichel deal hinges on Danault...I could see Blake seeing Turcotte/Kupari et. al. as expendable if we're rolling Kopitar/Eichel/Danault/Byfield.

Not sure how i'd feel about that and I'm sure salary would be moving too

But that would be a crazy mix of youth, experience--big money players and elcs.
