I wonder if a potential Eichel deal hinges on Danault...I could see Blake seeing Turcotte/Kupari et. al. as expendable if we're rolling Kopitar/Eichel/Danault/Byfield.

I don’t think they will part with Byfield or Turcotte.

If Buffalo wants Vilardi and Kupari I think the deal would have been done. Kings keeping their powder dry for that Sergachev move.

A good rule of thumb has been about $1m for every 10pts a guy gets.

If you're going with Kopitar, Eichel, and Danault, why bother keeping Byfield? Two defensive C's. Two offensive C's. For years on end. Well just move a guy to the wing. No, you're paying these guys to play C. Send Byfield to Buffalo and be done with it at that point.

I don't think Blake has the intelligence level or the business savvy to do a deal of that magnitude without getting destroyed on the players going to the other teams. This is a guy who largely has done mid-level deals and has also been ripped off in some of his more daring moves so I am not sure I would give the keys to a deal like this to Blake.

The guy is 28,no need to trade him to a contending team.Kings don't need more picks or propects,they need established players.

And what would we do with those established players ?
Our core of Doughty, Kopitar and Brown are done. They have no ability and drive to control the game anymore.
At this point it is about riding out the contracts and especially to develop the youngsters.
Who ever is on that roster until the switch over doesn't matter at all.
Iafallo or AA or Eberle or Schwarz or Tarasenko... it doesn't matter since we are not even close to compete for a playoff spot.

I know people hate this idea but our core is 19-21 years old. We are still 3-4 years away from playoff.
There is absolutely no reason to trade for players or sign UFA's
