12 NHL teams passed on him. You really think you're smarter than 12 NHL teams??
I have a question. In all seriousness and not in defense of the Flyers passing Buium, why did these other teams let him go by in the draft? I heard one evaluator say before the draft that he felt that Buium should be the first defenseman to go off the board to Chicago. Then he slid down the line. Why did these clubs let him go by them?

It's not even a relevant question. The other teams were deciding between Buium and another player with plausible 1st line/1st pair upside. It bears no relationship to the Flyers passing on him to select a 3rd line player.

The night before the draft, Friedman said he thought he was going 3rd to Anaheim (95% sure it was Anaheim and not Columbus, but check me if it matters to you).

It's impossible to sort through what did and didn't happen when so many organizations' processes are poor.

Can't imagine why only like 3 teams have a chance to win a Cup each season.
